I watched this live and seeing this again after so many years, the pain of Tergat losing this race just came jolting down as if I was seeing it for the first time. What a race this was. Salute to two of the greatest Athletics legends!

I am Ethiopian I really have huge respect for Haile and Paul Tergat, paul was amazing athlete but it’s very hard to win against Haile. Salute for two legends.

Paul Tergat é o atleta símbolo da corrida de rua de São Paulo que sempre ocorre no dia 31 de Dezembro, Dia do Santo São Silvestre. Por isso a corrida leva seu nome: "Corrida de São Silvestre". Paul Tergat a venceu algumas vezes.
