Hotel Vanishree which is located at koladapet Udupi, Which is in business from 12 years and attached to owners house itself. If you really enjoy to have real homely food which is cooked in actual home kitchen then you shouldn't miss visiting here. One of the best places in Udupi to get Mangalore buns, Biscoot Ambade( Basically Vada without a hole) and many more unique dishes and beverages like yellu (sesame) juice, ginger lemon juice
Unbeatable tasty food with very less expensive price, Its a hidden gem and I definitely recommend it for a visit...

In Udupi, Mangalore, we have different names for Vade&Bonda. We call Biscuit Ambode but outside it is Bonda. We call Chattombode, which you call it Masala Vade. We call Goli Baje but you call it Mangalore Bonda. We call it Eerulli baje/Kanda baji which you call Erulli Pakoda. We call Nelagadale baje which you call Masala kadle beeja.

Very rarely you find hotels with udupi brahmin preparations. These days name udupi ..food preparations by people from bihar, jharkhand, Bengal. This udupi hotel family are in restaurant business for more than 50 years. Started as Bobbarya hotel.

I never liked buns but recently I came upon this small eatery and took a bun parcel for my children. They asked me to taste and indeed this was the best bun i had ever tasted. You should try this place while in Udupi... Super!!

@Kuldeep Saini Its easy to locate hotels in Small cities like udupi just by asking someone randomly... Thr are high chances to miss the place even if name of hotel is mentioned in english language, As it is not in main city and I do agree mentioning hotel name in ENGLISH do help to certain extent.
