When I first got into watches this was for me the first watch that really interested me and stood out for me and I just think it's stunning and so unique! I love how it's under stated to like no one will know what it is which just adds to it!

I love that Zenith is going back in time and size. With seemingly every watch model getting bigger and bigger (Submariner, etc.), Zenith is reminding us that a wrist watch isn't supposed to be shown off but worn.

Teddy is the man. Just occurred to me that he's taken the mantle as the #1 watch dude on YT. Production quality and his delivery are on point and he doesn't have to worry about loaners anymore because he's an AD for all the pieces he presents. Really cool to have seen his growth from the start. Props man. 👍

The best thing about the El Primero, other than its history, is the fact that the movement made its way into so many other manufacturers’s watches. I have owned a few Zeniths with the movement, and I currently have a Concord Impresario with the triple date, triple register Cal. 411, but it’s also shown up in one form or another in watches ranging from Ebel to Rolex.

IMHO Zenith is underrated as a brand. I recently bought the Manufacture Edition El Primero and I was worried about the 38 mm size but now that I have been wearing it it is great and I adjusted to it quickly. Zenith is really stepping up its game and putting out some interesting pieces!

I love that Zenith is probably known more for their movement (El Primero) than the actual watches. Might be the only watch manufacturer where this is the case.

Easily the best chronograph out there, in my opinion. Great video Teddy! One day this will sit on my wrist. It's interesting to me that Zenith chose to include the date window on the Safari colorway.

I would look great in that watch! IMHO of course. I had to sell a very nice Zenith a few years back for funding treatment to illness and the MRI(s).....etc. Just life. I enjoyed the review and that Zenith is sweet. I still have an El Primero engine in a gold plated Movado Datron HS360. She keeps great time, but I would like to have a more current model as I'm 66 and one never knows when they may get called home. Take care and keep up the great work.

Love this watch - have tried on the steel / white dial version and it wears great. I think my favourite is probably the one with the brown gradient dial. The lack of hacking bothers me though.

These tonneau cased chronographs plus the A386 updated Original is simply Zenith at the top of their game. Stunning proportions and wearability. I wish Zenith would mine their archives a bit more, particularly with respect to their back catalogue. They used to offer a range of complications , at some point, those could/should be revisited.

Super presentation! This is a remarkable timepiece. From a terribly underrated company. I really think this will be my next watch. Matter of fact, I like it so much that I am likely going to take my name off the waitlist for a new Rolex Explorer 1 36mm and get this watch! If I could only afford both! But this has got the edge. Even though it's a chronograph, it is a no date. And it has a super symmetrical dial. Brilliant! Thanks again!

You are killing it with those shots, I love the watch and movement, I would use a pig skin racing strap, or maybe a green leather racing strap. Too bad the lug width is 19.5 but I think is manageable to try a 19 or 20 mm straps on it. Keep up the good work!

I’m a big fan of the A3817 Revival. I think it would look great on a distressed brown leather strap. But I’m also a big fan of the Chronomaster Original, I’m curious how they compare on the wrist

Here are some ideas for videos that I think would be interesting. (1) Have a watch enthusiast design an office wall clock. The movement would be a cheap movement which would constrain the time commitment and cost. Manufacture a prototype of the designed watch. This would be an interesting video because it would document the watch enthusiast's creativity as they design a holy grail office wall clock. The video would be even more fun if the video features multiple people designing wall clocks due to the friendly competition. (2) Give a watch collection a makeover by swapping out the watch straps.

Is it technically possible to polish scratches etc. Or do you simply have to live with them? Swirls and small scratches just happen to every watch over time. Usually they can be eliminated at least when sending the watch in. Not sure for this surface. Otherwise love the watch.

I have the Liberty edition of this watch. While mine has the bright cheery look that gives it a different personality than the Shadow, I agree with you that it wears extremely well especially for smaller wrists. Pusher feel is very good, and the movement looks fantastic. It’s a great piece considering the engnineering involved and the movement’s historical significance.

I feel a detail-less straight light orange chronograph seconds hand would be a nice way to add some contrast to this watch. Not a huge fan of the shape, but the titanium does indeed look badass.

Beautiful watch, had and sold my A384. Was stunning to look at, and so accurate......but my 8 in + wrist made the last strap hole make it feel tiny. I regret but had to part with it. Did get a 79280P/jubilee/emerald green dial and a few other hangs in exchange, and easily has become my fetish piece.

I absolutely don't like the fact, that the seconds track is missing. It's a high-beat chronograph with 10 ticks per second, but you can't read anything at all. In my opinion a huuuuuge design flaw.

I love this watch. It's much more usable than any speedie or IWC chrono, as its lightweight and compact and just as legible. And the movement is racy and beautiful to look at. IMHO its a winner.

@@rajmehta6210 actually I tried it out since posting the comment. I found it rather small and insignificant on the wrist. So if you are considering a 42mm watch, then it may be the same for you. In the Zenith line of chronos I preferred the cp2 with its flyback, 43mm.

Very different look to the hublot which I love right now , just have to be sure I will still like it in 5 years time.

The lack of second or sub-second tick marks would prevent me from choosing this model over other Zenith models. Using the tachymeter scale would be fine, but any other timing would result in a precision of only about one second.

Looks fantastic, a watch that you can wear out and about that is a not in your face if you know what I mean. Non hacking used to bother me but as I've got older that on the nudge second is err.. secondary. Size is good, movement should be good and it's high beat too, And in titanium so let's hope it's also obtainium as well.

Love it, but I’d prefer it in gray or black ceramic. I’m guessing the titanium will age oddly, show scratches in a unique way. For example, you can see on the crown a few shiny spots of wear. I have 8-year-old ceramic watches that still look new.

Almost there but ultimately an opportunity missed. The case is too square, and it should be actually black where it is grey. That said, a good video, and I notice you wore an all black outfit to accompany the theme.
