It makes sense yeah, but it's not square root of 1 squared, it's 1 squared. I know it is the same but I think others will understand it easier

✓(a ± ✓b) has a direct formula...lol... I used to get these in 7th grade...

Once you know the trick you can work these out in your head in about twenty seconds.
