The division and conquest is clear when we see how the west divided Sunnis and Shias, Sufis and Wahhabis. Even between other religions like how the British divided and conquered the Indians by dividing Hindus and Muslims who had coexisted for so long. Sheitan is not any one nation or region, but sheitan al rajeem can fill the hearts of those in power to do horrible things in the search for more power. Makes me think of the Bagh massacre in Amritsar.. May Allah make all of the believers strong and united from all religions and especially unite the Muslim Ummah in these times of fitna. Ameen.

The Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said, ‘Verily you shall conquer Constantinople. What a wonderful leader will her leader be, and what a wonderful army will that army be!’ [Musnad Ahmad, Al Hakim, al Jami’ al Saghir] Like many portents described to us by the Prophet ﷺ, it is not possible to conclusively identify one historical event as being the fulfilment of the promise. The above tradition regarding the conquest of Constantinople could apply to its conquest at the hands of Mehmed the Conqueror in 1453, or it could be referring to the conquest of Constantinople that will occur during Armageddon. Further hadiths concerning the conquest of Constantinople in the last days certainly seem to be support the opinion that the above hadith we mentioned refers to this future conquest at the time of the Mehdi and Sayyidna ‘Isa (peace be upon him), rather than the 1453 conquest. The ‘Fall’ of Constantinople in 1453 In May 1453, the Ottomans, led by Mehmed II, defeated the Byzantine Empire and took control of Constantinople, the capital of the Empire. They renamed the city Istanbul. Mehmed was 21 years old at the time, and Istanbul has remained in Muslim hands ever since. European Historians refer to this conquest as the ‘Fall of Constantinople’. The Conquest of Constantinople at the time of the Mahdi There are many hadiths which mention the details of the last days, the great battles that will take place, and the conquest of Constantinple. In a rigorously authenticated hadith, we find details of these events, in which the Prophet ﷺ described the Muslim army in those days, ‘They [the Muslims] will then fight and a third of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah’s eye, would be killed, and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople’ [Sahih Muslim] The Prophet is also reported to have said, with various weak narrations, that ‘The great Malhamah, the conquest of Constantinople, and the coming of the Dajjal occur in (the span of) seven months.’ [al Tirmidhi, abu Dawud] It is stated that at the end of times, the Mahdi will lead a huge army to face the Dajjal and his followers. This momentous battle is known as al Malhama al Kubra, the Great Slaughter. After fierce combat, and at the point when the Mahdi will find himself encircled by the enemy, The Prophet `Isa will descend, lead the Muslim armies, and slay the Dajjal. Soon after this, the Muslims will take Constantinople by peaceful means. ‘They will conquer Constantinople with Tasbih and Takbir and will acquire such spoils of war as has never been seen before.’ [Ibn Majah] In conclusion, it is not possible to categorically say which event the Prophet ﷺ was referring to in the initial hadith we mentioned. As such, it is safer to refrain from holding a fixed opinion on the matter, and not affirm or reject any of them decidedly. However, it is valid to incline towards one interpretation over another. Certainly, the various reports concerning the conquest of Constantinople during the last days at the hand of the Mahdi and Sayidna ‘Isa, renders this interpretation very viable. And Allah knows best. According to most Islamic scholars, the praised ruler, conqueror of Istanbul is Imam Mahdi and the praised army is His army. They will conquer Istanbul without fighting and shedding blood, uttering the words of takbir and tesbih. This conquest will take place as part of the great battle of Melhama or Armageddon and the appearance of Deyal, which according to the hadiths of the Prophet will take place over a period of 7 months (Armageddon, the conquest of Istanbul and the appearance of Deyal).

Salahuddin Ayyubi was a shafi’i in fiqh and a ashari in aqeedah.

Great video, the hadith that Hamza Yusuf refers to about Muhammad Fatih...there's alot of opinions on this and some scholars/ulama say that this hadith isn't referring to Muhammad Fatih. Can anyone shed some light?

Ash-Sheikh al-ʿAllāmah Ḥamūd at-Tuwayjrī رحمه الله said in his Itḥāf al-Jamāʿah (1/403-404): وقد فتحت القسطنطينية في سنة سبع وخمسين وثمانمائة على يد السلطان العثماني التركماني محمد الفاتح (وسمي الفاتح لفتحه القسطنطينية) ، ولم تزل القسطنطينية في أيدي العثمانيين إلى زماننا هذا في آخر القرن الرابع عشر من الهجرة، وهذا الفتح ليس هو المذكور في الأحاديث التي تقدم ذكرها؛ لأن ذاك إنما يكون بعد الملحمة الكبرى، وقبل خروج الدجال بزمن يسير؛ كما تقدم بيان ذلك في عدة أحاديث من أحاديث هذا الباب، وكما سيأتي أيضا في حديثي معاذ وعبد الله بن بشر رضي الله عنهما، ويكون فتحها بالتسبيح والتهليل والتكبير لا بكثرة العدد والعدة؛ كما تقدم مصرحا به في غير ما حديث من أحاديث هذا الباب، ويكون فتحها على أيدي العرب لا أيدي التركمان؛ كما يدل على ذلك قوله في حديث عمرو بن عوف رضي الله عنه: «ثم يخرج إليهم روقة المسلمين أهل الحجاز، الذين لا تأخذهم في الله لومة لائم، حتى يفتح الله عليهم قسطنطينية ورومية بالتسبيح والتكبير» . وفي حديث أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عند مسلم: «فيخرج إليهم جيش من المدينة من خيار أهل الأرض يومئذ» . وفي حديث عبد الله بن عمرو رضي الله عنهما: «ويستمد المسلمون بعضهم بعضًا حتى يمدهم أهل عدن أبين» . وفي حديث ذي مخمر رضي الله عنه: «أن الروم يقولون لصاحبهم: كفيناك حد العرب، ثم يغدرون ويجتمعون للملحمة» . فدل هذا على أن الملحمة الكبرى تكون بين العرب والروم، والذين يباشرون القتال في الملحمة الكبرى هم الذين يفتحون القسطنطينية، وأمير الجيش الذي يفتحها في آخر الزمان عند خروج الدجال هو الممدوح هو وجيشه؛ كما تقدم ذلك في حديث عبد الله بن بشر الخثعمي عن أبيه رضي الله عنه، وتقدم في حديث أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه الذي رواه الخطيب في المتفق والمفترق: «أن أمير الجيش إذ ذاك من عترة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.» والمقصود هاهنا التنبيه على أن الفتح المنوه بذكره في أحاديث هذا الباب لم يقع إلى الآن، وسيقع في آخر الزمان عند خروج الدجال، ومن حمل ذلك على ما وقع في سنة سبع وخمسين وثمانمائة؛ فقد أخطأ وتكلف ما لا علم له به. والله أعلم. Constantinople was conquered in 857 AH at the hands of the Ottoman Turkman Sulṭān Muḥammad al-Fātiḥ (he was called al-Fātiḥ because he was the one who conquered Constantinople), and Constantinople is still in the hands of the Ottomans in our time at the end of the fourteenth century AH. This conquest is not the one that was mentioned in the aḥādīth that have been mentioned above because that [conquest] can only take place after the great battle and shortly before the emergence of the Dajjāl, as already discussed in several aḥādīth in this chapter, as will be mentioned in the ḥadīth by Muʿādh and ʿAbdullāh bin Bishr - may Allāh be pleased with them. The conquest of Constantinople will be with tasbīḥ, tahlīl, and takbīr and not with great numbers or having many weapons, as explicitly stated in many narrations in this chapter. Constantinople will be conquered at the hands of the Arabs and not at the hands of the Turks. This is indictated by the his saying [ﷺ] narrated by ʿAmr bin ʿAwf - may Allāh be pleased with him: “...then the strong youth of the Muslims of the people of al-Ḥijāz, who do not fear the blame of a critic in the cause of Allāh, will come out to them, until Allāh makes them conquer Constantinople and Rome with tasbīḥ and takbīr.” Also, the ḥadīth by Abū Hurayrah - may Allāh be pleased with him in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: “...then an army from al-Madīnah will come out to them who will be the best of the people of the entire earth at that time.” And in the ḥadīth of ʿAbdullāh bin ʿUmar: “The Muslims will help each other until the people of ʿAdan Abiyan will provide them with help.” Also, the ḥadīth narrated by Makhmar - may Allāh be pleased with him: “The Romans will say to their leader: We will suffice you from the Arabs, then they will betray [their covenant with the Arabs], and they will gather for the battle.” This proves that the great battle will take place between the Arabs and the Romans and it is those who will fight in this great battle that will conquer Constantinople. The commander of the army who will conquer it at the end of time when the Dajjāl will emerge is the one who is praised along with his army, as already mentioned in the ḥadīth narrated by ʿAbdullāh bin Bishr Al-Khathʿamī from his father. The ḥadīth narrated by Abū Hurayrah - may Allāh be pleased with him - mentioned earlier, which was reported by al-Khaṭīb in «al-Muttafiq wal-Muftariq» says: “The commander of the army at that time shall be from the household of the Prophet ﷺ.” What should be mentioned here is that the conquest mentioned in the aḥādīth in this chapter has not yet happened, and it will take place at the end of time, when the Dajjāl will emerge. The scholars who interpreted it to mean what happened in the year 857 AH have erred and said what they had no knowledge of. -End quote Ash-Sheikh al-ʿAllāmah Aḥmad ibn Shākir رحمه الله said in his ʿUmdat at-Tafsīr ʿan al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr (2/245): فتح القسطنطينية المبشر به في الحديث سيكون في مستقبل قريب أو بعيد يعلمه الله عز وجل، وهو الفتح الصحيح لها حين يعود المسلمون إلى دينهم الذي أعرضوا عنه، وأما فتح الترك الذي كان قبل عصرنا هذا فإنه كان تمهيدا للفتح الأعظم، ثم هي قد خرجت بعد ذلك من أيدي المسلمين منذ أعلنت حكومتهم هناك أنها حكومة غير إسلامية وغير دينية وعاهدت الكفار أعداء الإسلام, وحكمت أمتها بأحكام القوانين الوثنية الكافرة، وسيعود الفتح الإسلامي لها إن شاء الله كما بشر به رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. The conquering of Constantinople which was foretold in the ḥadīth will be in the near or far away future, and Allāh knows best. That will be the true conquest, when the Muslims return to their religion that they have abandoned. As for the conquest of the Turks, which transpired before our time, then that was just a sort of facilitation, or preparation for the great conquest yet to come. Because afterwards Constantinople was once again taken away from the hands of the Muslims, and the government at that time announced that it is not an Islamic or religious government. Thereafter it made a pact with the enemies of al-Islām, and it ruled its people with hedonistic and disbelieving laws. The Islamic conquest of Constantinople will transpire, if Allāh wills, as foretold by the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. -End quote

agree that the way Quran is receited is exactly what have been conserved, often people think Quran is the book no, actually Quran mean recitation, so the recitation is what is mahfod, or conserved and protected from change, because often you find similar words or words that are spelled differently and it change the meaning, but how you spell something is a more accurate way to convey meaning about the schools/madahib being chosen doen't mean that they are the best madahib, the sons of israel were chosen but were they the best? same for muslims, being chosen means there is a reason for God to chose people, but don't mean they are the best maybe they were chosen because they had all the worst attributes of humanity, like how banu isreal were mentionned in Quran, that even after reveletation, they still distorted the words of God, out of vanity and pride and the same could be said about muslims, i think lot of muslims had a distorted perception about their status in front of God

With all due respect, bārakaAllāhu fīkum: The Hadith has a serious defect, being narrated by someone by the supposed name of 'Abdullāh ibn Bishr Al-Khath'amī and he is unknown, none have labelled him trustworthy except Ibn Ḥibbān, and he was known to do so with unknown narrators, whichis why his grading in that matter is not unequivocally accepted. Also, Ibn Ḥajr mentions that there is "idhtirāb" (when there's a reversal in a name or names in a chain or text, or clear confusion regarding it) in the name of this narrator. There's difference of opinion in his name, his father's name, and in his tribal attribution. It is mentioned that his name is 'Abdullāh, or 'Ubaydullāh, or simply 'Ubayd. It is mentioned his father's name was Bashīr or Bishr. And it is mentioned he was Al-Khath'amī or some mention he was Al-Ghanawī. And Allāh Knows best. [ See: Ta'jīl Al-Manfa'ah 1/721] So, the narrator is weak and the only one who declares him otherwise has been criticized in general regarding his rulings of declaring narrators trustworthy or not. And, for the sake of argument, we assumed the Hadith was authentic, then with what criteria are we arriving to the conclusion and understanding that he has?

The prophet peace be up on him praised the Amir who will conquer constantinople after the great war (Malhama), which has not yet taken place. The holy Quran says, if the enemy wants peace, you should enter into a peace agreement with that enemy. How could the Amir put away the Quran and insist on conquering constantinople, while the other side did not want to fight?

How are you sure Salahuddeen was the Amir the prophet was referring to. I don’t believe that to be Salahuddeen.

First, many Islamic scholars say that Sultan Fatih is not the ruler mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in this tradition, nor is the Ottoman army the one he praised. There is much evidence for this view. The first and most important proof is the way in which, according to the hadiths, that army will conquer Istanbul. Namely, this army will conquer Istanbul by just saying La illahe il Allah without any battle and bloodshed . Another hadith says that a third of the army that will attack Istanbul will flee the battlefield, a third will die and become the best martyrs and a third will survive and that third of the army will enter Istanbul. This hadith is exclusively related to Armageddon and the battles to be fought by Imam Mahdi. And the third hadith of the Prophet in which He says that Armageddon, the conquest of Istanbul and the arrival of Dejal will take place in a time span of 7 months. All these hadiths together point to the conclusion that the praised ruler is Imam Mahdi and that the praised army is in fact his army. And this makes sense given the many hadiths that speak of the values ​​of Imam Mahdi and the values ​​of the Muslims who will follow him. One hadith says that the martyrs of that army will enter paradise without reckoning, etc. And for me personally, it would be very strange for the Prophet to explicitly praise someone who is a blind follower of any mesheb, Aqeedah and Sufi tariqat. Nakshibendi and Maturidi have never been mainstream members of Sunni Islam. Imam Mahdi will certainly not be a member of a madhhab, an specific Aqeedah direction or a Sufi tariqat. On the contrary, I am convinced that the Mahdi will simply call himself a Muslim, without any emphasis on belonging to any of the specific Islamic law schools or any sect.

Why not talking about the true message of Allah through the Quran? The so-called 4 imams were no more than stooges of their kings, that's why their fiqhs are still alive !
