i honestly thought tanks were gonna be useless, but after seeing people play them and actually reading what the items does i can say they are strong af if the enemy team doesnt have a way to deal with them (like Kraken Slayer or Liandrys etc.)

In fairness, many other items were nerfed on the PBE. Eclipse was 16% maximum health damage at one point.

It's actually sad how when an old champ becomes broken without being buffed they're nerfed in no time whatsoever but when a new champ has 80% win rate it's all good becomes those skins aren't gonna get sold otherwise

The thing is that statstick champs are boring and very unsatisfying to play with or against them. So the result of that is ppl play the champs with newer designs, so riot makes skins for those.

I honestly hated that this happened, because AP assassin Amumu (Grenade Amumu) was my favorite jungler, and it's not nearly as viable now that Amumu got nerfed so hard

How did he get nerfed? He got a damage nerf you wont notice on full ap amumu, also a completely broken item. Not like it matters what u play in silver anyway..

They reduced his base damage on both his w and his e, and his w went from 0.5% max health damage per 100 AP to 0.25 per 100. They sound small but when you also compound this with how a lot of AP junglers tend to be underperforming (hence they gave Ekko a massive buff to clearing jungle monsters, as well as similar other buffs I can't remember) it makes the AP build just not very viable. It's like how ad Warwick is kind of killed off in the jungle, just with the small change to tiamat, it just feels really shit to try to play now lol

@@vannchansenany10d32 there is a diference between complex and braindead, Sona is braindead simple, point and click and no aiming besides ult, yet managing range, damage and so on makes her complex. There is a diference between overloaded and simple yet complex. Thresh is overloaded (infinite scaling, shield, safe passage, peel, knockback, interrupts, zoning, cc, pull, hook), up to the point where you could see him everywhere and made old supps feel obsolete until they hit him with the nerf hammer. Same thing happenned to Azir, and so on, overloaded champs either completely dominate or are nerf hammered to keep them in check, and it is a problem in design, because something can be simple (Morgana) and yet have a quite distinct and complex design that can live up to today's standards without feeling cheap, overpowered, overloaded or overtuned. And thats the reason a champ like her or, lets say Vayne have changed very little through the years. But champs like this (Samira) make the Sivir rework look like total obsolete crap and will probably keep pushing more champs into obscurity and out of the meta.

@@patirnuss Let me just say that any 1/8 adc would be useless at that point but I guess a mid or jungle assasin with 1 completed item can have that of a significant impact in a game (one shotting a "fed" adc).

Feels amazing to be a dedicated amumu main for 4 years, with different kind of playstyles to play him, just getting screwed in the ass by riot games.. making way to powerfull tank item and then nerfing amumu out of existence:) can legit say i almost stopped playing because they destroyed my niece champion whom almost was the only champion i enjoyed playing:)))

well, the ultimate turning into a stun made him pretty good. so he should get a direct hit in addition to the item nerfs. but well it was a rather huge hit that wasnt really neccessary.

Hey Exil, great video as always. As a Korean League fan I just wanted to let you know that Beyond and Yondu are the same player (he switched his IGN). It's interesting to hear about a Western perspective of the character because Amumu became a meme in Korea as the champ only CloudTemplar (former Azubu frost jungler turned analyst) plays.

Haha no those are things in post production like color correction and using the Creator Suite replay tool. I can give you some of my settings though. On league of you go to "Video" you can change the color levels. Color Level - 100 Color Gamma - 52 Color Brightness - 38 Color Contrast - 100 Everything else like the fog and smoke are edited in the Creator Suite tool by Skin Spotlights, and other colors and brightness are adjusted in post production using color correction!

I actually really enjoy the effort in these videos. All the other stories were interesting and i enjoyed those aswell but this one i can directly relate cuz i have been banning amumu for the last month. It's amazing you can make a high quality video and story of something so simple and common as a champion being broken. Just please don't go stop making these videos. Exil, I would really like to see you make a video on Ashe. Maybe something like a history of the champion? For me, Ashe has always been very well rounded. I think her kit brings a little bit of everything, she always seems to do well in high and low elo, and I just like seeing the champion. When I think of Ashe, I always think of her as sort of a "pillar" for League of Legends, much like Lee Sin. I would really enjoy hearing your personal thoughts and see a break down of some historical information about her! Great video as always! Keep up the good work.

really liked this video, the thing is it wasn't really applying for me at first because reading this video's name me think I know what's it gonna be like, I played preseason I've seen amumus pop off this is nothing new I thought but this video had much more to it. I think you should've used a different name for this video, something that has context to the other parts of the video other than amumu's parts. amazing video keep up the good work!

Honestly the items brought more fun to league. At first it seemed like it was going to ruin the game but after playing it i can say that i enjoy it more than I did before just because its that change that makes the game feel new

Yes but certain champs are left without anything from these new mythics, while others like Goredrinker on Red Kayn or Sunfire on Amumu are bordeline gamebreaking. It put the game at a wierd spot.

Yeah most roles are really fun and fresh due to the changes, but these changes haven't been kind to adc. Kai'sa so akward to play now 😢

I played amumu alot last season. I had fun with it and I had a 56% win rate (climbed from bronze to gold last season). I didn't play this preseason and it sucks to see that my mummy was now overtuned...

Amumu was like my favorite champ with mordekaiser during S10 . When S11 started , i could only play mordekaiser , amumu was always banned or picked

Question: Wouldn’t Malphite be apart of breaking season 11? Even now he’s consider one of best champions in the top lane while Amumu has lost his title for one of the best junglers and is now, just in a good spot. Nothing more and nothing less.
