That's the kind of song you listen to once and think "yeah it's good", then come back to a few hours later and think "DAMN THIS IS GOOD"

Taka said on the Japanese radio program that initially they had no intention to release this song as an individual MV version. But the Label decided to do it just recently. OOR thought like, "what to do with MV??", but the label prepared this visual. After watching this MV, he was a bit worried about if their thought behind the lyrics in English actually could reach to Japanese fans, so they decided to put Japanese sub on their Japanese version of MV released in their channel. Taka also said that there is a contract that their songs released under this label have to be all in English. On the other hand, the Japanese versions under the Japanese label have to be always with some Japanese lyrics. It's just a business matter why they always release the songs under this label in all English. Btw, Taka also said they signed with them because they loved this label.

Me, getting to know OOR in mid 2020, regretting for being their supporter this late, seeing people in the comment section arguing about whether their old or new ones are better: 😞

Every time i play this song, i discovered how each instrument were so powerful from violin, drums, guitar. Still my favorite OOR song ever!!!

I believe this songs is about how ONE OK ROCK felt trying to succeed in western music market. In their home country they're the biggest shit. Even people who doesn't listen to them at least know their name. But in western side, it's really niche. People either know them or don't know them. I bet they felt terrible, in Japan ONE OK ROCK treat it like "kings", in states and uk treat it more like underground band. (When they're really not) It's not like they're getting no recognition from western people, its just very few, compare to bigger artists such as foo fighters or Linkin Park.

Don't care what anyone says, I've been listening to these guys since 2009. Their songs have always been very powerful and after listening to this and some other songs from their upcoming album I can honestly say this is still one ok rock. The emotion and power is still there. They're still sticking to their rock roots. I can hear some difference from their earlier stuff but if you go back through all their albums you can hear how they gradually evolved into the powerful rock group they are today. I'm actually reminded of CHAOSMYTH, a beautiful song and my all time favorite by them, when I listen to this song. And I enjoy bands like one ok rock, twenty one pilots, and bring me the horizon who are able to release albums where the songs sound completely fresh yet and their able to adapt and add some change. Yet at the same time good and you know it's them because the heart is still there.

There was an interview about this. its a transition. pretty much the gameplan is to gain a bigger american audiance this way. then once they start getting a little more comfortable to them there gnna start to pump out the real stuff.

All the songs of "Ambitions" are under one theme. It is a message to the "old" fans. If you don´t listen to the lyrics, there is no way you can understand this message. So let me explain : ambitions means they aim for something; bombs away could mean that some things should be thrown away; taking off means they are starting to change; we are, yeah they are who they are and that has nothing to do with us fans; Jaded means something is broken; hard to love, somethings are hard to love, but if you truly love it doesn´t matter; ... and so on and so on. I know there songs are different from their old stuff, but I love this band. I´m happy when they are happy. I hope they carry on to make music, so I can listen to it.

Don't seem to understand why everyone is complaining, each of their albums are completely different to each other when it comes to style. One ok rock started with a rapping Toru between lines, it was a more moving and smooth rock. Beam of light was a transition to their "modernized songs" back in 2008, Alex left the group and they changed completely once again for Niche syndrome and on. We can all hear the difference between Jibun Rock and The beginning which are in different albums. Ambitions is just another style they are using, which shows One Ok Rock can do everything- reference intended

I think people need to understand that One Ok Rock is probably just adapting to the US market. For one this song is closer to what people in the US are used to hearing. Also the US music market, in order to be considered "big" your music needs to be played on the radio and there's a certain "formula" to radio music and this song definitely fits that
