I think bad setups can be forced when a trader only watches one pair too. They get hungry and start seeing patterns that aren't there. You can muck it up on both ends. Psychology has to be right regardless of one pair, 28 pairs, 1 timeframe or 5.

Well you can't be monitoring 10 pairs in all timeframes I only trade sp500 in futures I watch all the volumes all the timeframes by the time I place a trade on SP500 I know where is heading in everytime frame posible I know where is volume where is liquidity I take suply and demand set ups in the 1 min I can take up to 4 or 5 trades per day in just that pair and most of the times I get 2 or 3 wins and my wins are usually like 2 or 3 times bigger than my losses and some times I just do a homerun and I can get a 1 to 10 if I see a clear liquidity zone with soo much volume resting watching the order book

Just another helpful tip* If you trade on mt5 platform you can go on the calender underneath your toolbox, then add the specific news times on the chart itself small on the bottom, instead of having a alternative way. Don't work for mt4 tho unfortunately.

I trade NAS 100 with CDF from 8 AM to 12 AM EST. I use H4 for levels and M15 to trail stops. NAS 100 moves more than currency pairs at the moment.

Love the back testing tip but wanting to test on 3-4 pairs , different time frames , and different sessions takes weeks and weeks of back testing doing it trade per trade. Testing it 100 times each to have at least 100 trades to make a average.

I don't like that one timeframe confluence,if you trade one pair. Do top down analysis on it,then your entry confirmation should be on a lower timeframe. You can stick to one timeframe entry but not on set up. Maybe am quoting you wrong

sessions usually are helpful if you are scalping, swing trading needs higher timeframes so it wont really matter, you can try optimizing your entries using sessions tho

Excellent content man. I ended up here because my thing is EUR/USD is London Session (after open); I can also do with the overalp with NY session, but never NY alone. My fear with that is the following: Will the pair maintain its behavioural coherence? Since I am depending on what session and one pair, am I being just subject to a temporary edge? And along with that, in terms of confidence, how can I have high self esteem in my skill if I literally am able just to trade profitably one pair under very specific conditions?

@@crystalcordial I really prefer tradingview to any other backtesting software I doubt if I might be able to cope or backtest with another I use the highest TRADINGVIEW subscription tho and i was suprised getting just 5 months on the 5 minutes TF I backtested last week, sometimes around November 2022 the max day I could go back to was May 2022 and its fucking annoying 😡

Hey will 25% on a 1k account is 250£ a month - is this soley on a large account say 10,000 then yeh 25% makes sense - i have a 1k account and flipped it to 2,500 in a month whilst risking £200 per trade was lucky i guess
