One Pan Garlic Butter Shrimp with Orzo | An Easy Weeknight Meal - The Papa's Kitchen

This is such an easy and over the top delicious meal. It will take you no longer than 30 minutes to pull together and serve. Your family will love it or your guests. If you don't like shrimp substitute some pieces of pre-cooked chicken pieces. It's the FLAVOR that counts here. And if you've never tried Orzo - you don't know what you're missing.

Loving this from Jamaica. You've inspired me to eat better quality foods which I've always wanted to do but sometimes balked at the prices. You and Sue are goals. Never heard of Orzo before. Absolutely gorgeous meal folks~ quite impressive. One of my husband's favorite meals, although we don't eat carbs, so I typically serve it over roasted spaghetti squash "noodles" or cauli rice that I've pan dried & toasted. I like the 4 min. steam method for the shrimp, will have to try that.=)

Excellent recipe! I made it tonight with help from my sous-chef husband for us and our neighbor. We absolutely loved it, but our neighbor doesn’t like capers, she did love the shrimp and overall flavor. Next time I’ll leave them out until after I serve her.

I make a Chicken and Orzo dish with Asparagus and fresh lemon juice and zest. At the end I add a diced Roma tomato with out the seeds right on top. I love that it’s good cold too!

Also another butters are Plugra and President. With y’all living in Florida I’m sure you have a variety of grocery stores. Here where I live we only have Walmart and Winn Dixie. I can sometimes find these butters around the holidays at Sam’s

*Sue, you have such a steady hand w/that camera! I cannot seem to get smooth w/it, though I imagine over time it may improve. Do you have any tips on holding or positioning that you've employed? Maybe a special tool or handheld tripod that may be helpful? Appreciate any info, if you care to share. P.S. We are experiencing the most intense monsoon season ever, here in Sun City, AZ~ happy to share some rain w/you this year! We've been here 10 yrs now, & I've not seen anything like this~ & I'm from WA State! =)

Looks delish will definitely make this one we live in Hervey Bay in Australia and we eat a lot of Seafood, we call Orzo Risoni must admit I haven't tried it but will,a bit like Cous Cous people often think it is a rice but it is a type of Pasta, keep 'em coming I like quick meals also as there are only 2 of us at home 😁👌

Funny you should mention it - I really don’t like eating couscous - it’s certainly a pasta made from semolina flour - but I think for me it’s the texture that doesn’t appeal. I always prefer orzo 😌

I do not eat what my sister calls water insects or bugs. I do make them for my son. Thank you for the recipe. He will love this. I make him a barbeque oven baked shrimp deveined with shell on. It's a throw together in a dish cooks in 30-40 minutes or less. He eats them with a salad and bread.
