Not possible, Void Clementine (I assume?) said that the One Piece was activated, which while it may look like the first DF is the One Piece it makes no sense, because we know eating the fruit and therefore activating makes an instanteous explosion, so if Void Clementine really did mean the first DF is the One Piece she couldn't have proceeded with the whole conversation.

@@rowdyrobgaming8726 most likely that would be the case based on what we currently know about devilfruits in the canon of the story, but there's also someone like black beard who is an exception to this and has been able to eat two without dying so you could argue that an devilfruit directly eating another one could also be an exception to this rule. because we don't yet know exactly how black beard was able to do this or what devilfruits truly are (we do know a bit more thanks to vegapunk but not everything), there is the possibility that something else could happen than them just exploding and respawing which in itself is just really fun to think about as an example let's say devilfruits could eat another one without it leading to both of them respawing, what if pretty much any paramecia or logia fruit would eat the human human fruit. could the fruit assuming it has the lineage factor of a human etc therefore have the potential of learning haki? shouldn't whatever applies to chopper apply to this, although chopper was originally a reindeer which is a living being unlike a devilfruit which is not (but you'd also have to think about the whole reincarnation thing with them and atleast zoans having their own will which would mean they can have self awareness to some degree). then there's the question of can inanmate objects etc even have haki on their own, there are things like enma being able to absorb haki from it's wielder but it would still come from an outside source the simple answer to all of this would be just as you also said that both would just respawn and nothing else happens, but you could also go down the rabbithole and get really creative with this idea of fruits eating other fruits etc and becoming an entity that can do stuff on it's own. you could even possibly do an variation of the false hydra from d&d with this or something else, then there's also the idea of what if the two or more fruits would fuse together creating a completely new fruit with combined powers from whatever was used to create it you could go so many interesting directions with this if you'd want to atleast in the one piece d&d universe depending on how rustage would rule it if we ever get a situation where this would come up, you could even have a previous user of verona's fruit have done some experiments with this and have that potentially lead to something as an example

Agreed, this is definitely up there in top 3. The info we got and the 20 min long discussion on the fruit was probably the best thing of dnd i have ever experienced

@Shunsui07 it was great, and simultaneously terrible at the same time lmao. I almost couldn't stand them suggesting they give this fruit to little Jimmy and nearly lost it when William was about to do so before Verona stopped him by animating the fruit. Same with them offering the fruit to blue blood, it's either a nuke nuke fruit, some sort of DF equivalent to the wish spell, or some insane God fruit whatever way you slice it this fruit is far to usefull to give away to someone outside the crew (or someone to weak to use it) not to mention being far to dangerous to give to someone outside the crew, or most NPC's.... frankly the only one (aside from any of duros's equipment) I would even consider giving it to is pearl if she didn't have a fruit but even then it's a risk. Giving it to duros's sword was an Interesting idea and it definitely has promise although personally if I was William I would have ordered duros to eat it, or obviously if I was duros I would have eaten it right away. Worst case would be you explode and start the day over, best case you get a 100% (or as close as humanly possible) trustworthy person to wield the fruit. Now to be clear I'm not saying they were wrong to be having these conversations or that if they had made those decisions it would have been poor decision making by tekking, 2spooky, Briggs, or noble because after all this is a roleplaying game and William being a reckless idiot and wanting to just shove the fruit onto Jimmy, duros wanting to return it to its rightful owner, Ragnar not particularly caring and Verona being the most rational one (and yes im saying duros being overly righteous isn't rational) definitely fits all the characters and is very realistic, but that doesn't change how much anxiety watching that conversation gave me or the fact I wanted to jump through the screen and force that fruit down duros's throat.

It was the first thing that came to mind before he used all his manoeuvres to me 😁
