I have only played Whitebeard and I have won one game in my entire OPCG career (a small handful events) so there are definitely things that I am missing.

Really good tips. One topic that I think would be really helpful in a future video is when to counter, when to take life, and when to protect your board. It's one of the most nuanced elements of the game and possibly the hardest to master!

Cross for the people out here. Preciate the informative video my dude. As much as I’ve grown in this game there were a few things covered here that I tend to forget more than I’d like to admit. Having reminders in a video form like this is so essential. Thank you 👏

very informitive video, the only thing imma point out is the very begining of the video when you mention not swinging with characters at leader early, this depends on the color you are playing and what color/leader you are playing and playing againts AND it also depends on your playstyle and decklist, sometimes changing the focus of your opponent to your board makes you able to plan haed (obviously depending on the situation) so i woudnt take the option of swinging with characters early, the many situations i win by just swinging with characters early works, but again it depends on the opponents leader/color most of the time, the rest of teh video is absolutely PERFECT! ESPECIALLY THE PLAY AROUND TRIGGERS PART, i learned the hard why to do this by just losing so many games to the triggers that i got trauma and started playing around with experience, about those triggers the best a new player can do is research popular events/triggers in popular cards.

Thanks for the content. I'd love to see a part 2. Just and observation: I did not hear you talk about magic number 8K when you face 6k blockers like Borsalino or Queen. What do you think about that matter? Thanks!

Im confused, at 5:15 you say 6k blockers are good because they can absorb 2 shots from opponent. Then at 6:30 you say against a 6k blocker just go 5k attack and then 8k attack to kill it. Which is it ? Is it good now to block a 5k for free or is it bad now because you can easy clear it then ?
@CrossAii11 ай бұрын
5:15 was talking about the perspective from the player who has the 6K blocker. It’s strong cuz they can punish 5 swings, and out the opponent in an awkward situation. 6:30, Zoro’s unique. It’s fine to poke with a 5K and see if they block, because the unit can get taken out easily by a Gordon/Otama debuff, or you can swing a bunch of 7s at face in peace. Generally I like to swing 8K if I’m not playing zoro and I can afford it

I know this is a video I can replay, and I know you probably play as many OPCG games per day as I have total, but this went by so fast that I feel more confused about the game that when I started. I'm sure the advice is good, I just don't think I can follow it. Maybe I'm not cut out for this game or something.

No worries, I’ll think about another video to make about more beginner concepts. When I first started playing this game I struggled rlly hard to know what I was doing, and I imagine this vid may’ve been confusing to me around that time as well

@CrossAii Жыл бұрын
If you've used Tabletop Simulator before, it should be the top mod when you look for it in community. Lowkey Tabletop Sim is cracked for rewinding board states and seeing how games would have played out if you did something else instead
