Hoshina sometimes has little fangs when he’s being impish in the manga. Also, the soldiers’ unleashed combat potential determines how much power they can get out of their weapons. Kikoru’s shots do more damage because she’s able to pull more power out of her suit, which is where her gun gets power from.

(Anime only) I've a theory that their battlesuits being made of organic kaiju matter could potentially backfire in the future for one reason or another, maybe falling under control or being rendered useless by future sentient kaijus, leaving only Kafka able to actually fight as his kaiju form remains unhindered.

Think of the danger numbers like earthquakes. For a 2-3 on the Richter Scale, people can barely feel it. A 5 is considered light with some property damage at the epicenter. A 7 is considered a strong earthquake with $Bs in property damage and loss of life. A 9.0 is a once in 300 year quake with catastrophic building damage and mass loss of life. So far, the anime has such a perfect balance of action and humor. The parts that are cool are really cool, and the parts that are funny are REALLY freaking funny. 🤣🤣 If it can land the emotional moments later on (yes, those exist, this series isn't all flash), then I'll consider this anime to be a rousing success! Maybe even Anime of the Year material.

Yes, they absolutely did notice the other kaiju, his level was in the 6’s, but like Kafka they weren’t able to pin down which creature made what level of energy.

Hoshina's age has never been revealed yet, I think. But he should be around the same age as Mina who is in late 20s. Or he could be a little younger but still be in his 20s for sure.
