CORRECTIONS - please read! - Two errors in the Space Marine list - both the Hellblasters and Assault Intercessors are 10-man, not five man. Not sure how I missed those. I guess that means the assault intercessors go in the Land Raider Redeemer and Hellblasters deep strike with the Lieutenant. - There are THREE Nurgle vinidcators in the Chaos List, not ONE as I wrote. I did think it seemed a bit points-light as I was reading through. - The Tau list has fireknife suits with three gun drones, two Shield drones, and one Marker drone (not four shields as I wrote) which is to keep it below Bring it Down threshold according to the player's comment below. Apologies for the errors there!

also the the orks list there is only 2 units of flash gits while you say its 3 units and the list only comes up to 1970 points idk if something else is missing there

Hi Auspex, I'm the T'au player you featured. Just a small but notable correction - my Fireknife suits had three Gun drones, two Shield drones, and one Marker drone (keeping the unit below 15 wounds for the Bring it Down threshold) - the same as my other Crisis units. Four shields would've been an illegal loadout ^^

The Thousand Sons list also isn't running a Rhino, it would be too much for the points and Jeremy doesn't even own one. I think the mistake came from the CSM v Thousand Sons where the CSM had a rhino

In line with (possible) corrections, in regards to the Death Guard list, it was mentioned in the Warphammer discord that those 3 Predators were actually Destructors, which would make more sense. Perhaps it was listed incorrectly or the Discord comment was wrong, I couldn't say for sure either way.

Not gonna lie I went down for surgery in May and decided since I'm going to be down for about 6 months might as well build a new army. So I chose world eaters with 1x3 Eightbound, 1x6 Eightbound, 1x3 exhaulted Eightbound, 1x6 exhaulted Eightbound lol

Best list for ad-mech I've found, is too melt your entire army into a giant brick, because you'll have plenty of material, then proceed too un-alive your opposition with it.

a low winrate army for competitive has been a nightmare for casuals, our local admech is switching off to guard because its become too easy to table our casual lists with admech

Small mistake with the ultramarines Gladius list, both the Hellblaster squad and Assault intercessors on foot are ten man units. I saw this on goonhammer and double-checked the math on the points

There's more about that list that's strange to me, like why does the sword and board lt have fire discipline, an upgrade that benefits ranged weapons exclusively when it can't join the ranged damage dealers with its loadout

@@tneelen because the LT's ranged damage output doesnt matter, fire discipline is there for the hellblasters not him, the LT's loadout was likely juust either to protect him from precision or give the hellblasters some melee capability just in-case. the LT also doesnt have any restrictions for its attachable units, only the captain needs a specific loadout to join hellblasters

22:00 worth noting that the Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf also gets Rites of Battle, which has several good options to use it on in Stormlance. Namely Ride Hard, Ride Fast, Wind-Swift Evasion, and Shock Assault.

My guess for the DA list is Azrael with the Companion , Asmo with the intercessors and the Biologis with the Eradicators and probably in the Redeemer to get them close to where they can wreak havoc with their Melta's .

Good to see Ad Mech running Cawl and Ruststalkers now! Obviously their best detachment will stay the best after the buffs but it'll be interesting to see if other detachments will get some wins here and there (Data Psalm Conclave or Cohort Cybernetica perhaps?) Also triple Defiler LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I know Genestealers and Votann both only have one and they generally aren’t worth it unless you are playing specific lists. The GSC list in the video didn’t have the epic hero. How ever if you are talking bigger factions I’ve gotten my butt kicked by da big hunt orks that only ran beast bosses. And im sure there are space marine, Eldar, and necron lists that work.

@@timunderbakke8756 yeah. I just don’t know any other way to make people not use only war dogs. If they removed the stalker I think it would be fine. Especially with all the buffs to bug knights in pariah nexus. Big knights can action and shoot so you don’t miss it there, they can move through walls so they are much faster, they are way tougher and have much more fire power. I think they would be viable now but people haven’t been experimenting with them because war dog spam is all they know how to do

I played this cool Ultramarines Gladius yesterday with a couple of tweaks (mostly to taste) here and there. Had Calgar in the ten man unit Assalt intercessors on the field though instead of the Raider for the +1 CP. Hellblasters(10 dudes, not 5) in deep strike and Ventris with Company Heroes in the Impulsor. Raider was empty but could have fieded 5 Jump Dudes for example. I had small squads getting in and out of the raider for the entirety of the game though. Not sure this was the "intended way" of fielding the Characters. Pontus, if you're reading this, gimme a holler! ;) Cool list, was very much fun to play.

Yo, Pontus here, Its awesome to see ppl try my list, the idea is Calgar with CH for a supe efficient counter charge unit starting on the board. ASSintercessors with Uriel in a Redeemer is suuuper good combo, you charge anything on a objektive with Htc strat and oath and its dead, not bad for a 150pts unit, Uriel really likes the wound reroll aswell

@@Juztifier yup, they are a great skirmisher unit and in a impulsor they have crazy range. Between thr haywiremine and grenade strat they deal unexpected MW dmg aswell

@@wicwtfpff after thinking more about the list i came to the same attachments and loadouts. yesterday i had the idea to put a libby (with HV maybe) into the ASSInt but then Uriel can't join the hellblasters because is just not allowed to. The idea with libby was to make the cheapest marine bodies we have quite durable with 4++ and even mor so against GK, Nids, TS and so forth. Would you change anything with the knowledge you have after the tourney? Thx for the answers!

Mark is a great TO and runs events in Winchester every month or two. You should definitely come down sometime! There's an RTT on 17th August, which would be a good first event. There's loads of tips that could be given about tourney play in general - though if I was to pick two, it would be getting used to finishing your games comfortably within three hours - and getting to know your army and list well enough that you can answer ~most~ questions without needing to pick up your book or datacards ^^

I collect and play Black Templars. I couldn't do THREE 20 man primaris crusader squads! Its hard enough just to move around and throw dice for one, I couldn't imagine two more? ... also its cheesy. Turns Black Templars into a horde army. My personal code of honor says [BLEEP] NO!

Grey knights list is good but my personal skew is. Less dreadknights, running too many opens you up to interrupt threat if you charge too many things at once. Bring atleast one librarian, vortex of doom is insane. I would honestly prefer taking a techmarine over the asssassin. With auto 6 advance the techmarines can keep up with the dreadknights surprisingly well. I still run crowe with purifiers but tbh that is not a hard cut to argue. Anti infantry isnt that special but when they work they really work.

Okay, not that it really matters but I’ll throw my hat in the ring My grey knights list is: Grand master Voldus (WL) Brother-captain stern Terminators-10 man Terminators-5 man Strikes-5( for the sticky) Purifiers-10x2 Venerable Dreadnought (las and flamer) Dreadknight- flamer and psycannon-x2 (one has sword the other hammer) And no enhancements Take this as a grain of salt as I haven’t got any evidence of it actually working

What's everyone's opinion on Terminators this edition? I only started in 10th but In all games i've played and while doing list building they just seem very overcosted/underpowered. I'm running CSM Termies but also while facing DA and other ones they all feel like slow walking turds for the almost 200p they cost per 5. Might sound crazy but I genuinly feel CSM termies should land on 165-175p per 5 in regards to their power in game.

Poor. As a Dark Angels player - the termy faction - nobody has really used them in successful 10th ed lists. We want to, but they aren't good enough. It also means that the detachments meant to support termies are also poor, and aren't performing well either. Personally, I think their storm bolters need a boost... either remove rapid give and just make em a flat 4 shots or give em 1 AP or pistol keyword... I don't think more points reductions are the way..

So... to be competitive in 40k you need to buy every single unit in your army three times just in case any of them becomes OP and you need to spam the shit out of them. And even then, your codex might be just shit so it's better to own several armies just to be sure there's any point of going to a tournament.

Was surprized not to see in nids list a neurotyrant with Zoanthropes. Fun fact - this unit is a monster unit so can go Big Guns Never tire. However minus one to hit only affects monster and vehichle MODELS, so Zoa can even from CC shoot on a 2+! Pair this with assault and lethals from Hive Tyrant on foot!

Unfortunately, with this setup they also have all the drawbacks of monster such as not being able to move through ruins etc, with their movement of 5 this makes defending them a little tricky.

Is it just me or are regular (Necron) Lokhust Destroyers a complete waste of points compared to Heavy? Both weapon profiles are exponentially better (especially if you're fighting elites with a lot of vehicles like Space Marines), they have a way better ability, an extra wound, and if they're led by a Lokhust Lord in the Awakened Dynasty they already have a +1 to hit so they don't have to worry about losing the Heavy keyword if they have to move around. Maybe I'm missing something but I see absolutely no value to even a full unit of Lokhust Destroyers that something like a single Heavy Destroyer and a unit of Tomb Blades couldn't accomplish better.

With the new detachment rule, units with the regiment keywork gain lethal hits against monsters and vehicles. And units with the squadron keyword gain lethal hits against everything else. The scout sentinels have both keywords, so they gain lethal hits against everything basically

I used them primarily for reroll hit rolls of one. Plus two scout units to assist in grabbing secondaries, especially as I went action light.

They need a detachment that rewards taking other units. Every balance update they increase the price of spectres, hawks, and spiders, and then tournament lists still stay pretty much the same. A wraith, bikes, and harlequin detachment would do them good.

Change the colour of the words in the thumbnail so that it is 'One' written in red, and you instantly sum up what is wrong with 10ED. I like playing with experimental lists, trying out weird unit combos to see what non-meta armies might work well. In previous editions this has always been a lot of fun. You might not have the most competitive list, but you can at least enjoy your games. Late 9th broke this completely, and the lessons simply do not appear to have been learned in 10th. Having just one or two lists, with some minor variants, that you can take from each codex does not make a balanced game. They've already gotten rid of points costs for upgrades and any granularity in squad size, at this point you may as well just have entries for the whole army list for each codex, then write in which units (if any) are the options you can choose between!

I mean, in 9th I played lists that were seven Russes, two Tank Commanders, and two Dorns. In fact, the forced inclusion of sponsons kinda means that there is less space to put hulls down on the table.

They work surprisingly well at 240pts. Had a pretty easy time moving them on the new fixed terrain thanks to orders and a large number of 2" walls.

I mean if you have a list with enough mobility/ armour killing its pretty easy to deal with, i was able to beat an almost all tank list using DA a couple months ago and this was before the new update

Man, I like Sororitas, but I hate that half their lists are just vehicles. I want to paint space nuns, but I'm forced to paint the SAME tank 6 times (all sisters vehicles are just rhinos) to be competitive.

You say they're all rhinks, but each one looks WILDLY different. The castigator looks fairly standard, but has a genuinely cool turret, the immolater as a melta turret with a stained glass shield for the gunner, and the excorcist has a friggin giant organ that shoots indirect fire missiles out of it!

these lists mean nothing really, i went 4-1 in lit with tau in 2022 and finished in the 80s where as a guy who had a list arguably worse with me took best in faction but his luck of the draw was mad as he faced perfect opponents for his particular list for all 6 games as he stayed for monday too, he had anti marine weaponry and he faced marines focused lists, where as i had anti horde and only faced elites armies for 5 games... even though Mani was beside me on of of the tables with his 100+ wraks..... i was so annoyed i am not playing him with my flamers of doom tau

I mean that's what this is though, these are people entering competitions with prizes on the line with these lists. Of course a bunch of nerds are going to theorycraft what works best to gain advantage. This is something that does and will occur in virtually anything when turned into competition. Best part though, you don't have to partake. You don't need to be a competitive player. I'd wager that the majority of players aren't actually competitive players. It's fine to look over the fence and respect what they are doing while carrying on doing what you want to do.

I really like your videos, but half the time you talk it sounds like you are sucking on a jolly rancher or cough drop or something and it is so triggering to me. Is this something you do? I understand some people might do this to keep their mouth moist while talking a ton so i get it but man it's almost too much for me. I hope this isn't offensive...
