One-take drone tour of Purdue Memorial Union renovations

Get a drone’s-eye view of the renovated ground floor at Purdue Memorial Union. It features 67,000 square feet of renovated floor space, complete with outdoor terraces, expanded seating, new performance areas, pool tables, a fireplace lounge and a dozen food options - including Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, co-owned by Purdue football icon Drew Brees. The renovated ground floor reopened in January 2022, at the start of spring semester.

To the team that made this video - Great Job! The new dining and casual areas look great! And to the people watching this video - understand that this is just the "First Floor" of the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU). When the drone first enters the PMU and does the fly-by of the scaled model of the university (under glass on the left) this is the second floor of the PMU. There is also a THIRD floor with meeting rooms, along with the PMU hotel attached towards the right (a Marriott branded hotel now, I believe). The first floor has undergone a wonderful upgrade for dining and casual study and meeting spaces - both indoors and outdoors.

I remember the free public telephone at the bottom of the steps at the .24 second mark, and the video game room just to the left on the other side. I used that phone a fair bit, actually.

Fantastic work.... looks like a lot of planning went into the flight path, and staging the action along the way. Does Purdue have a drone pilot on its staff? #BoilerUp!
