(1) Just bolt the shoes to the floor like bicycle cleats to stop stepping. (2) Everyone has an equal amount of slaps, even if we must wait a day for recovery. (3) Have a padded head brace on the side opposite the slap (to prevent flinching).

Use cleats like cyclists do. You lock into them and can only get out by turning your foot to break the lock. In this case, they are locked in, and if they did unlock it's an automatic foul.

@@ibbjos08 kind of like arm wrestling. not for feet but they use straps and your free hand has to stay on a hand grip. While your elbow can’t leave the pad. It keeps it even on both sides.

Lifting the heel gives more power to your pivotal roundhouse effect. Such a simple cure. Put magnets super strength in floor with steel plates in shoes

i swear if i see one more of these judges foul the winner with that lame stepping excuse, i will never watch this sport again. I hate cheaters, and those officials are the real cheaters. Why? Because it's purposely subjective. They use the stepping and flinch etc. as a "who we want to win" tool. Some people are obvious and blatant and they get a pass... while others barely commit the foul at all, and are immediately disqualified. It's total favoritism.
