For some books the notations are different but answer is same SS treatment as SS between, SS error as SS within,etc.

I saw other definition using sum of squares of the ‘difference from sample mean’ rather than sum squares of the sample itself. It seems using the difference makes more sense as this is measuring the variance behaviors.

In general, n can be different for each level, in which case the calculations get hairier. It is an IDEAL CASE when n is the same for each level.
