Hi friends! Today I'm coming at you with a one week, one palette on the stunning Huda Beauty Rose Quartz palette! I show you five different looks and I use almost all the shades. Hope you enjoy! :)
*I said at the end that I was going to upload this after Huda's sale was over, but I switched my upload schedule around so I could get this video up before it's over for you guys! I was SO excited to see the notification for this post pop up. I LOVE one week, one palettes! You’re the only KZfaqr I follow who does them, probably because of how complicated they are to film. But I think they are the best way to really feature a palette. They are so much fun to watch! The shimmer one day one really threw me off the way it shifted. But once both eyes and all your makeup was done, it was less noticeable. I wonder if this matte formula struggles with building or the glitter glue, or both. It looked great until the final build up after the shimmers. But it wasn’t too terrible. The final three looks were simple but beautiful! I liked all three, but I agree with you about the two pinks looking similar. Still pretty! Thank you for doing these videos! I enjoy them so much! Made my Thanksgiving! ❤️

I love these one week one palette video because it gives you in depth opinion about the product a feel that all doe it is beautiful most of the mattes pull mauve, pink and I wanted a little bit more variety in it however the shimmers are the only standouts and I am glad you shared with us that three of them lack quality from the other ones.

Beautiful looks! It makes sense that the mattes get patchy when using a glitter glue. Mattes usually grab on areas with more moisture.

Day three look stunning!!! It’s perfect for a Christmas dinner as well. I absolutely love warm looks on your eyes I think it really makes your blue eyes pop even more. Although I’m sad you’re not working at Ulta anymore congratulations on your new job if it’s something that you truly enjoy I’m always rooting for you. I actually just ordered this pallet from her black Friday sale excited to try it out, my first Huda pallet. Question how do you prevent bullet lipsticks from smearing all over your face from talking with a mask on? I’m always nervous to wear gloss/bullet lipstick with a mask on and I’m getting tired of liquid lipstick all the time

I don’t use glitter glue with any of hudas 18 pan palette shades. I’d rather take a setting spray and spray it on the shimmer after I’ve gotten a little on a brush and then add to the lid. I feel it works out better that way. I don’t get any patchiness that way.

Hey Emily great video! Just a little tip if you try to diffuse upward the glitter glue with a small blending brush it should help with patchiness and harsh lines. I like impactful shimmers like you but I don’t think Huda’s Mercury retrograde has them. I was actually disappointed by that palette. To be fair I haven’t used glitter glue with it but I am an eyeshadow snob and I think good shimmers should perform well without glitter glue, especially at that price point. I can understand why a lot of people like her palettes tho. My personal favorite is the nude obsessions in medium.

I love your opinion, but I have to disagree on your opinion about hudas Matte formula. I do have to say that I don’t think the 9 pan palettes aren as good of a quality as her 18 pan palettes and so I can see where you get the opinion of the mattes not being as good in that regard. Her 9 pan palettes are definitely a downgrade in quality. Shimmers and mattes combined. Her 18 pan palettes though are on a different level and most of her 18 pan palettes I absolutely love. Her desert dusk palette though is a snoozer. Her newer palette formulations though are phenomenal and both the mattes and shimmers are amazing. Her formula in these are some of my absolute favorite formulas in any eyeshadow palette I own.

I struggle with almost all mattes getting patchy on me tbh, no matter the brand. But I agree her 18 pans are gorgeous! I’m excited to see what she releases this year 😍

Thank you! 🥰 and ooooh I like them for different reasons! UD is to help my oils so I use that when I need my makeup to last a long time. CT helps makeup last but adds a tiny glow and doesn’t really keep my oils from coming through. So it depends on what you need! I love them both 😍

Suggestion (for this and other palettes): use an eyeshadow base and do not set it! Otherwise it'll be powder rubbing on powder and the base won't work...

That blissful shade did the same thing in the same spot on me it looks like it skips like u didn't get the eyeshadow their it annoys me . The deep purplish shade I always use a liner and under the bottom waterline. The pallet is beautiful but I am not as happy with it as I thought I would be. * I also don't like that the colors shift to like this bright fusha shade u think u are getting blue purple but it turns pink pink and a gold and alot of the shimmers I wanted to love seem to do that .

You don’t really need glitter glue for the shimmer shades to pop. I feel you may be losing the benefits of some of the shades because of the glue.

Oh I disagree I always use the glitter glue! It also helps them stay all day and have less fallout in my opinion!

Twins! I work in education, as an educational assistant. The only other serious job I had was as a bank teller. I never worked at Ulta but I would’ve liked to. I often wonder what I would do if I left education.
