It’s looking more like Ruby is some godlike creature. The Trickster’s daughter is a definite contender. In 73 Yards people who get close to the old lady look back at Ruby, and run away in fear. Perhaps getting close to the old lady turns off the perception filter on Ruby allowing people to see her for what she is. And it terrifies them.

When older Ruby,who follows her around during the episode talks to ppl,likely revealing who she rlly is, ppl don't want to talk to younger Ruby anymore. There are a lot of candidates but Maestro's revelation of Ruby's inner song did make me think of the character of Ben from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season Five; Ben was a "... prison of meat & bone" for a Hell God exiled to our dimension by other Gods who feared the member of their own Triumvirate so much they made war upon her and consigned her to live out her remaining existence in the body of an infant male until the child died naturally, or was killed. However, the Hell God inside broke free of her prison for brief moments to command the body that imprisoned her, and that's yet to happen? Similarly, Omega did try to map himself onto a biological being from our universe in the Fifth Doctor's time and again that would follow Ruby containing a song/personality profile within her. So that could be another manifestation of the same story but it remains to be seen how Omega would have plotted his "will" in the Anti-matter Universe onto our dimensional plane, and why a child? Unless only an infant form could contain all his memories and experience built up over the eons and that information matrix is slowly gestating inside Ruby? I like the Sutekh idea of the One Who Waits because I did wonder at the fate of the other Osirons and if the warning beamed from Mars ever triggered a response? Besides we still don't know what capacities Sutekh retained, even in the time corridor, that could have helped preserve himself after the Fourth Doctor disconnected the TARDIS' remote temporal manipulator from the lode stone sarcophagus? Too many candidates and possibilities because the Doctor has made so many enemies but would Omega be an enemy once freed and inside this universe again, and knowing the Time Lords are gone?

Omega came back in Arc of Infiniti played by Ian Collier and copied the doctors body so he could walk around on earth. It failed and the body fell apart but before it did Omega was shown to have a desire to live a normal life so maybe when he returns he does so as a friend this time?

It featured a teen-aged woman who was orphaned as an infant. She has god-like powers & when the trickster god Q shows up he reveals the girl's parents were Q who left the Q Continuum to live as mortal humans and were killed by the Continuum for fear other Q might leave the Continuum. The girl doesn't know she is a Q, as her parents died while she was a baby. Sound familiar?

I keep seeing content creators theorizing on who is "The one who waits"...... Are you all forgetting Mrs.Flood? Nearly every time we saw her she was on her front steps "waiting"..... And let's not forget two ppl from previous seasons who waited very long times, Amy (literally had and episode about her titled "The Girl Who Waited"), and Rory (who waited outside Amy's tomb for 2000 years)..... Another idea could be that "The one who waits" could be a companion that the Doctor left behind, who has been waiting for his return, and has slowly come to hate him for not returning

If it’s supposed to be an “Ancient Evil from the Third Doctors era”, then my money is on the Daemon Azal. They’ve been hinting at the devil a little and I think it would make the most sense with the theme. Other than that, if it’s a returning villain, then probably Sutekh or Omega.

I think the clue is in her name, Ruby Sunday. Names in Dr Who tend to mean something, like Melody Pond/River Song. Henry Arbinger/ Harbinger. Also Ruby Sunday is quite quirky a name.

I think the one Who Waits is Susan Foreman. She was abandoned by the Doctor a very long time ago, 16 regenerations ago, that is a long time considering that each Doctor had quite long lifespans and not just the 61 years we have been privy too. Maybe she is a bit pissed off that in all those centuries her grandfather never returned like he promised. Susan was a telepath and may have developed great powers in all that time and had plenty of time to become bitter and strong enough to have the Maestro and even the Toymaker fear her or even work for her. It would be cool having Susan as the big bad and a great emotional ending when she forgives the Doctor and maybe regenerates at the end. S Triad is Susan's TARDIS maybe. Afterall it has appeared in every time and place the Doctor has been. Who knows....Who knows

It isn't the first one you mentioned. The Martian one. I actually don't remember him. But you said he is connected to the 4th Doctor. Russel T Davies in an interview the big villain in season 1 is connected to the 3rd Doctor. I think it is Omega and have been saying for weeks. Russel T Davies when asked about the main villain for season 1. He said it was a villain not seen for a number of years and is connected to the 3rd Doctor. Omega has only ever been in 2 Doctor Who episodes. The first one he appeared in was the 3 Doctors special. Which was a third Doctor special.

Sutekh should be saved for a massive crossover event. Hundredsof Companions, Spinoff and side characters of different abilities having to come together to stop him, many getting killed in the process. But A, reintroduce past characters individually first so modern audiences know who they are. B, No past Doctors, give the other characters a chance to shine as bright as the Doctor. The Trickster is one of my favourite theories. If he is the villain in the finale they should bring back at least one character from the Sarah Jane adventures to give his presence in the series some weight. In regards to Ruby being the Trickster's daughter I say bring back Sky so Ruby can have a sister. It would be quite sweet to give Ruby some positive closure for her search for a real family. And finally why not include the Trickster's Brigade as well, either established or new characters. Don't want the Daleks to be in this series. Give them a break and give someone else a chance. I don't want the Roswell incident to be Daleks, since Dreamland and The Sarah Jane Adventures gave a definitive account of the event, but maybe a follow up story would be okay. Omega is another one that should be saved for a crossover event but I'd be okay with seeing now, considering how long the fandom's waited for his return. It's amusing but he's essentially The Doctor Who equivalent to Vecna. So to lean into that comparison would be hilarious. I would love it if Omega is the real Timeless Child as it would make the most sense for me. I feel like Ruby would be a bit cheap of a payoff and whilst it would be the one that would be the easiest for casual audiences to follow it would be a disappointment for those wanting a big bad return. I personally would like it if this storyline would involve the spinoffs in some capacity. Either have The Trickster as the One Who Waits, Miss Quill as Ruby's mother or include Big Finish Torchwood character Norton Folgate.

The one who waits has been hinted to be related to two godlike beings belonging to a plan of existence superior to any Time Lord, older and more powerful than them. So yeah, if that's finally the trickster, it will mean this one is more powerful than the Toymaker, what is the only annoying point, given in terms of "feats", that doesn't match what has been showed until here.

It could easily be one of those three that could be The One Who Waits. However, if someone has the title "The One Who Waits' wouldn't it be more likely someone we haven't seen before but it is known by the Time Lords. i have a theory the person who is carrying the baby Ruby is an older version of Ruby Sunday. the hooded figure is making people believe that it is the trickster. But what if older ruby did a deal with Rubys real mother, went back in time and deposited the baby the dr arrived but looked disconsolate. he knew something bad had happen hence the the promise keep ruby safe, which didnt happen. or couldnt stop the bad thing whatever it was.

Three theories here but all with same baseline: 1) Ruby Sunday is the secret child of River Song, conceived immaculately (akin to the Virgin Mary) in River's final "life". The last remnants of regenratiom energy that lingered within her after she saved the Doctor's life in 'Let's Kill Hitler'. It wasnt enough to grant River another full regeneration, but enougb to create a new life in the womb. River was half human so Ruby would in theory be born human only as the energy was spent from creating her homosapien form... but there is some time lord magic still lingering in within Ruby that was passed on which explains the ability to manifest snow etc. Maestro even said Ruby had 'Hidden SONG inside of her'. And coincidentally both have the same R.S initals. With her parents, Amy and Rory, trapped in a past that can never be revisted, River would have no one to entust her child to as she knew from the syncing of diaries (Spoilers) that she would die after the Singing Towers of Darillium. The Doctor's life and adventures are too dangerous for a human baby and he would not be able to guarantee her safety as much as he would want to. So River could not put that burdon upon the man she loves so much. And so, she was left at the church on Ruby Road. 2) Ruby Sunday is a Bi-Generation of River Song. That one raises more questions. 3) Amy gave birth to twins on Demon' Run but only Melody (River) developed Time Lord DNA (genetics) and Ruby had some traces but not the level the Silence required for their plan to silence the Doctor. Madame Kavarian could gave Ruby to Amy and kept the superior twin a secret for their scheme. But she feared of the twin possibly growing up and becoming more than could be known at birth with unpredictable abilities such as telepathic link to the secret Melody Pond (Amy would have unknowingly only named one as the other was hidden from her) this could have major repurcussions later in time. Kavarian is not a killer, she was holy sanctioned to silence the Doctor. So she left Ruby on Earth as a foundling. Phew. That was a lot. But keen to hear thoughts

So I am pretty convinced the eldest one is the Trickster and Rubys father, but he is a separate being to the One Who Waits. The eldest one I believe just means the eldest child of the Toymaker.

I think the villain that is missing from this video and I am surprised hasn’t been talked about by other KZfaqrs is fenric to which I really don’t understand as he is confirmed as like the members of the pantheon of discourse is a god or specifically an elder god. He is someone who has played chess across the time lines using people as his wolves against other elder gods and the doctor alike. Fenric has actually survived a game with the toy maker so it’s not out of woods and like other gods he tries to manifest himself in are reality not to mention this ark does remind me of one big finish did which featured the gods and fenric.
