I just had my surgery 05/28/20. I was supposed to have the bypass but because of scarring from a hernia I ended up getting the sleeve. I started at 322 lbs, was 300.5 lbs on the day of surgery and 4 days after surgery I am down 4 lbs already. Let the journey begin!!!

That is the same exact weight I am today 02/16/2023. I pray your happy and healthy today? I just started my Bariatric on valentines day and boy did I have questions BEFORE starting I am still reading and researching after the consultation but if I lose weight on my own I will NOT follow through with the surgery my husband is totally against this but as I read he reads with me so just wanted to say I, Thank you for sharing this

Wow, Amaze-Balls ! Your transformation is awesome. It takes a lot to put yourself out there as you have done. What I notice in that video is your smile regardless of the weight. Bless you and Congratulations on your Anniversary! We have no connection (other than being human), yet your journey is personally touching. Most don't understand obesity is not a choice, nor is it purely a result of gluttony or weakness. Many of us have biological factors that can be fixed temporarily with diet and exercise, however only surgical intervention can achieve long lasting (permanent) health solutions. Having the ability to make this choice is a Blessing and the Cougar and Dedication to take this journey is truly Inspirational. (thank you for sharing)

I admire you and your courage to open yourself up and share yourself with others. I am well into my 50s and just now beginning to live. During my younger years obesity was not well accepted. This video made me so emotional. I was approved for the surgery about 3 months ago and I had to wait 6 months so by January I should be having my surgery but I’ve been so wishy washy about it because I don’t have the support from my family like I thought I would of gotten sense I’ve been big sense childhood. Fat jokes were the only jokes I’ve ever heard about myself . I’ve lost 35lbs in 2012 by eating better and working out and everyone was happy for me than I got pregnant 3 times sense 2012 and I’m at my biggest . I told my family about wanting to have surgery and everyone was throwing all their uneducated opinions on me making feel like crap . But I’m so tired of being unhappy with how I physically look . My #1 fear is that when I have the surgery I won’t have the support or help during my healing process . I’m a stay at home mom of 3 . 6, 3 and 1years old and I do everything for them on my own so I’m worried I’ll hurt myself lifting my son or constantly bending the way I do now .

@@alliegentry4646 been about two weeks since surgery. Pain wasn't too bad, but it could be because I've experienced a similar surgery before (gallbladder). The gas pain sucked though. All in all for two weeks, I've already lost about 20 pounds.

I absolutely loved this!!! Big smile on my face the entire time because I know the feeling. I had gastric bypass in April 2023 at 280lbs. It is now July 2023 and I'm at 202lbs and have a goal of 180lbs. I workout every day and that level of accomplishment and self love was unimaginable before. Ty Erin , for this video. I'm Christina & my surgery date is 3/23/20 . Today is 3/4/20 and before seeing this video I was afraid & hesitant about going thru with it. So many ppl on here with negative things & warnings about this surgery. It was refreshing to see things more positive & actually showing the stages of progress. I am currently 284.2 lbs. I was in tears by the end of your video. I was researching gastric sleeves and the like, and you were the first video/person that Google recommend along with everything else. I wish I could be as happy and healthy as you are. I just started weight watchers for the umpteenth time and I'm just so tired. Hopefully one day, I'll be at a healthy weight and stay at it, be off all of these meds, and just be a good mom that can play with my son while he is young enough to want to. I've gotten approval for weight loss surgery two months ago. I've just been reading and watching stories. I have a little angst; don't know why because I usually don't have fear of surgeries (a hip and knee replacement four months apart). I guess I was just looking for the right 'message'. After watching a video of you and your friend (I don't know her name), I just see a BEAUTY in you both that brought back my excitement in being free from this literal and figurative weight I have on my body. I have just done the surgery 9 days ago, watching your video gave me motivation since i think im starting to fall into depression, well that quote is amazing! The hard thing about it is just the first month living on liquids and mashed food and not being able to be active.... Please to everyone who is doing the sleeve surgery stay strong. Keep in mind it is a tool to lose weight. Things can happen and you have to be mentally prepared. I am a living example. I had it done in 02/04/2016 and lost 80 pounds went from 260 to 180. Well i fell in my job slipped on water a patient had dropped and i couldn't move my left arm for one year ,have 4 herniated disc in my neck and lower back and shifted a bone in my left knee. I also now have Fybromyalgia due to the fall. All this caused me depression ,i lost my job eventually. Had surgery and live in constant pain. The depression causes me to eat and i don't have the energy to excercise. I will i could turn the clock back to 02/04/2016

You made a great decision to have by-pass surgery. I lost 180 lbs 12 yrs ago. I have kept it off because I'm happier being thin. But I'm not thin, I still consider myself over weight. I know I'm not .

, Wow. I'm over in England and one month in to having had my gastric bypass. Was feeling a bit fed up - still sore, can't get comfy at night so I'm tired and just feeling "blah" but seeing your Surgery Anniversary and all those wonderful pictures, you've managed to make me smile and feel positive so I thank you very much for that. You look amazing, I started my journey at 525lbs I was sleeved just three weeks ago at 350lbs I managed to lose a lot before the sleeve on my own, its early days I'm 3weeks out and only 12lbs lost so far but I'm hopeful it will start moving a bit faster for me

Amazing, I'm finally ready to start my journey. I'm almost 400lbs and my health is failing that is a direct result of obesity. It's nice to see someone actually make it and transform into this thin and beautiful woman. Your courage and dedication to having a successful outcome is my inspiration.
