First pizza review I've watched that makes me feel stressed out. Couldn't wait for it to end.

I’m ngl that looked like a Chuckie Cheese pizza but Dave also only gets cheese. Sort of weird he doesn’t get pepperoni every time. It adds that extra element & its a meat which is part of the score on how fresh their ingredients are. Plus, not every restaurant has the same pepperoni, sometimes old world. Dave also never talks about the sauce or any part of the pizza besides how crispy it is. He basically only scores a pizza based off if it is proper NY style, & has a history lining with that. A pizza is dough, sauce & cheese, BUT there’s tons of different types of pizzas: Mediterranean, deep dish/pan, Chicago, NY, square pizza, thin, frozen, chain/bar/trash pizza, Neapolitan etc.. Each place should be labeled as such & scored as such.

I don't understand how you can be a massive fan and anticipate Dave coming in for years and then do EXACTLY the opposite of what Dave wants from owners during his review from start to finish. Dude never left his sight, was inches away the whole time AND talking the whole time.

People knocking the owner, but I gotta respect how much he's talking up his number one cook. A lot of owners would refuse to believe anyone could do it better than them. So any awkwardness or sense of desperation aside, I give a lot of props to this guy for his high praises for one of his employees. A lot of folks are way too proud and arrogant to speak so highly of their staff and will insist that they are the one's keeping everything moving, while discrediting the workers that really keep the operation a success. This is just a star struck businessman who is honest enough to say that this isn't the best representation of their product. And I think it's a good representation of the shop's standards and quality that the guy is being so honest to a fault.

It doesn't matter what the owner said, the pizza speaks for itself and Dave is the expert who has done more for pizza and the small business community than anyone else. The pizza looks great and the fact that they've been serving the community with pizza says it all. Thanks Dave.
