It's called Cassata cake. Strawberries, Custard, and yellow cake topped with whipped cream. It was at every special occasion. Grew up in Little Italy. Worked at Corbo's in my early teens. Awesome pastries.

Based on his face and reaction, I was expecting this to be a 6.8 on the high side. 7.6 blows my mind given the other scores he's given out for things he was more impressed by. One bite, since COVID there are no more rules.

Good ol' Little Italy / Murray Hill. A place where everyone's nice, unless folks fuck around. So, about the pizza... Thin, yet thick, bar pizza but not... That's a Cleveland Pizza for you, lol Also: I love Corbo's. The Cassata you had is pretty good, though I tend to go for the Tiramisu and canolis got the pick me up. Good review, man. We need a Barstool Sports book over here.

This man came to Cleveland and I seen he made 2 stops. This is a good choice and the pizza here is getting better these days. Thick crust or medium thick is common out here, thin New York style has been popping up recently.

Worked so many spots on that strip. The first way I can gauge any restaurant, anywhere that wants to call themselves "Italian" or whatever is by smell and if I walk into any "Italian" restaurant or bakery and it doesn't smell like any one of those places in Little Italy it isn't authentic. Only one place in the 18 yrs I've been traveling has done that so far, and that was (funny enough) a place called Little Italy in Killeen TX. Nothing matches those places on Mayfield / Murray Hill. Miss it.

Did you check out the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame? My bassist and I drove there from E. Lansing Michigan with his car overheating every 20 minutes. The John Lennon exhibit was there with the protest bed, I was tempted to dive onto it, if there was a reason to get kicked out it would be worth it. There's a lot of Backstreet Boys crap there but all in all it's is worth your time.
