I have readed so much malaysian comment that Jojo has won in this fight. I don't know what they base their statement on. They expected and idolized Jojo too much, which unintentionally made him arrogant and also created a lot of pressure for a child. Let him develop naturally and humbly I believe he is a force to watch in the future. For the noble sports spirit and friendship between Vietnam and Malaysia, I wish Jojo to be strong, humble and achieve great success in the future.

Criticisms to both fighters that comes from a lack of fighting experience. 1. Nguyen wasn't running away. He was keeping his distance, plays bait pulling Jojo to move in towards him for an attack, for where Nguyen would engage just as and before Jojo is about to engage, then immediately moves back for the distance again. Running would be almost not engaging at all. Nguyen mostly engages first. Nguyen knows that if he were to rely purely on power vs power instead of distance and timing, he would lose the fight. 2. Jojo wasn't being arrogant. Yes, he's young, and perhaps over idolised by his country (though he deserved to be idolised), but his behaviour/act was not out of arrogance. It was out of "no better option" scenario. He knows very well aware of Nguyen's strategy, knew it was working, and that he was losing by points. In this scenario there's only two options left. Not chase him, or chase him. If he doesn't chase, it's a guarantee loss. If he chases, he still might lose, but it's not a guarantee loss. One of the hopes was to by luck land the KO blow, or tire Nguyen out for him eventually gain advantage. Going for the second option, he still find himself caught and getting hit while landing less on Nguyen. So the only thing he can do to lower is chances of losing was to pretend to not get hurt, and find ways to lure Nguyen in with taunts. You can see that he was definitely getting hurt and getting tired, but trying very hard not to show it. When the winner was announce, you can clearly see that Jojo expected it and accepts it maturely. You don't see the arrogance. It was an act to lower his chance to lose.

Jojo had no answer to Nguyen and is really outclassed, couldn't figure out why he's being beat.... fight ain't even close, however the kid can really be good if he learns to focus on the fight and less on the antics

I like the constant coming forward from Jojo..Rodtang style. Could have chosen to throw more of his KO right swipes and be more active especially in the first round when still fresh with the opponent still trying to gauge you. I thought Jojo slowed down in the last round. After seeing those haymaker swipes consistently missing in the first round, probably his corner should have asked Jojo to switch to uppercuts instead. If you fight to KO, you have to KO otherwise your opponent will win by points by outpunching you. Should have committed more for the KO combinations ... KO or lose!

I was really rooting for jojo but i didnt know what that arrogance was all about. didnt understand the hand signaling for nguyen to come closer when he himself lacked a combination of combat. he was just defending himself and recklessly throwing punches and kicks, missing the target on a huge. I saw the way he trained and I feel like he needs to spar more with many different opponents before coming into the ring. there was a lot of training within oneself but not with enough opponents.
