THAT IS NOT "SYNC", THAT IS "SHARE" They could work very similar but are different concepts. You are syncronizing by sharing. "Sync" means every thing one can do in an account automatically appears in the another account (without making anything), not just in shared folders as you did.

Just wanted to say super thanks for this tutorial. Was able to sync a folder from NY to my co-producer in Venezuela, now we can simultaneously work on music together and the folders and files stay right in sync. Game Changer!

Still works in July 2018, thank you so much! I had run out of space on my Office 365 Personal account and upgraded to Office 365 Home so I could have 5 TB of space instead of 1 TB of space. I was mistaken, it gives 5 users 1 TB of space so I created another account, and needed a solution to sync everything under 1 account since the OneDrive folder only allows 1 user per sign-in. You solved my issue, thanks a million!

When you share the files to your other Onedrives, doesn't it copy the files and now double up the space? In that case, I might doe the same! I also have 6tb

Hi, Just tried your tutorial. However, unfortunately, when the mail is opened, there is no option to "Open in OneDrive" option now! It says only "open", and when opened it opens in my secondary one drive from which I used to share the folder initially. In other words, it doesn't take me to my primary OneDrive when opened the link in the e mail.

to me this does not solve the issue of having the benefit of two account and the extra storage! since you are syncing you will run out of space on the main account much quicker. if all you want to do is use the second account as a backup space, this will work fine but I want to have access to two personal Onedrive accounts on One PC, this does not solve that issue.

the storage is taken only in the account where the folder is created, not in the account where is shared

I just want to clarify, I have a main account that I use (5GB) and was given an extra account for my studies that has A LOT more storage (1TB). Can I share the study account with my main account without compromising the storage space in my main account? I need to keep the 5GB account as my main account so swapping accounts is not an option.

Yes, I have the same question. If I'm bumping against the storage limits, doesn't this go against that same storage limit.

Very much appreciated. Unfortunately it did not work for me, as your shared folder tries to download entirely into your main account and I have not the storage on my main that I have on my (paid) work account. Any suggestions would be welcome but for now i am going to ahve to sign in in browser between accounts every time i want to use them (because the url won't even work correctly when pinned to Start, yay!). Frustrating but not your fault. Keep up the good work.

I tried OneDrive but found it messy. SyncBack Pro provides a far better experience with multiple options to save/delete files either locally on the PC or to various cloud platforms including OneDrive. I have 2 separate OneDrive accounts which are accessed by SyncBack Pro.

Question: Does the new shared folder I moved to my primary OneDrive on my PC then count against my storage amount on the primary account as well as the secondary account?

Maybe they've updated Onedrive since this video posted but I have 2 Onedrive accounts on my computer. I can access both through One-drive and File Explorer. I didn't watch the full video but from the comments it sounds like this is like the other solutions people post where they tell you to share one within another. I prefer to keep mine separate.

I am sorry but that is not correct. Only one personal OneDrive account can be synced to Windows desktop. If you try to add another personal OneDrive account, you will get an error message shown in this screenshot: 1drv.ms/i/s!AgL8o-XSp9z8i-dKUDNJ2SjNAY-BbA In addition to this one single personal OneDrive account, you can then add as many OneDrive for Business accounts as you want to, but that is a completely different story. Just to make this clear: Only one personal OneDrive account can be synced at any given time. It is absolutely impossible to add another personal OneDrive, whatever Windows version and OneDrive version you are using. In Windows 10 you can install OneDrive app from Windows Store which allows adding as many personal OneDrive accounts as you want to, but the app does not syng being instead just a user interface to various OneDrive accounts on cloud.

Kari Finn. lol. Ok, but I do have 2 accounts. One is personal and one is work but before I redid my work one they were both personal. And when I went to add the second one it asked if it was work or personal, so it gave me the option of having both.

Don't take my word for it, contact Microsoft and ask. The error message shown in the screenshot I posted will be shown if adding a second normal (so called Personal) OneDrive account. It is simply impossible. There's absolutely no way you can sync two personal OneDrive accounts on one computer. Error message says it very clearly: "You're already syncing a personal OneDrive on this computer. Unlink that account to add a new one." The screenshot, and the error message is from the latest possible Windows version, Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16232, with the latest version of OneDrive installed. To put it short: it is absolutely impossible to add a second personal OneDrive account to a PC to be synced and shown in File Explorer. One personal account at any given time. All additional OneDrive accounts must be Onedrive for Business accounts, so called Azure AD accounts you get if you for example subscribe to Office 365 Business or Exterprise. I just hope that possible readers of this conversation have sense enough to check it by themselves. Trying to add second personal OneDrive account always fails without an exception, giving the error message shown in screenshot I provided.

I ALREADY NEW THAT, HOWEVER IT DOES NOT WORK WITH OFFICE 365 SHARED FOLDERS SINCE ONLY GRANTS PERMITION FOR EDITING BUT DOES NOT GRANT OWNERSHIP SO I HAVE LOST 1024GB!
