I’m so addicted to these videos, I just come here instead of Netflix and learn so much. I know there are some serious topics being discussed here but these videos are very watchable and enjoyable, I often put them on when I have trouble sleeping, they calm me down.

I’m am a Sunni Kurd living in Canada and I appreciate you using Kurds as a example because people usually ignore Kurds or don’t know about us.

Sharia means law from the creator. Hudood means limits and part of Shria. Our creator ordains the limits and it includes the deterrence based punishments for serious crimes. Who knows best? Our creator knows best & not HIS creation. Creation is diversified in many ways & each group has a different opinion. Sharia is part of Islamic country. There is no compulsion in the religion.

The conflict between the so called Shias and Sunnis started after the death of Prophet Muhammad SAW and escalated after the death of Caliph Umar Al Khattab ra...it is politics..It did not started recently..

Islam is not a religion that popped up from nowhere 1400 plus years ago. Islam has been around since time immemorial. Islam means submission to the will of Allah & not associate partners in the oneness of Allah in anyway. All prophets staring from Adam & all prophets & the messengers of Allah up-to Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon them all, were all Muslims. It is the people who associated partners in many ways with idols, son of God, Graves, humans, fire etc. Purpose of life means good deeds to seek pleasure of Allah, Allah created us for no reason but worshiping Allah. Worship is in the specific & larger context. Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. (Quran 2 : 62)

I have a question In Sira books and Hadith pharoa's wife is named Asiya bint muzahim, where did that name originate from? The word muzahim is an arabic word that means the one who crowds and it comes from the verb زحم which means to crowd? So how can a queen of Ancient Egypt in the time of moses have this name? Thank you

the lebanese chick said something along the lines of you saying that "alotta the times its about politics as opposed to religion" which she basically didnt agree with for whatever reasons. Further saying they cannot be separated in a place like lebanon one of the few examples she gave was the country requiring your religion to be on you Drivers license. Any who my point is that Uthman is still on point when he says its politics not religion. why am i saying this? simply because they POLITICIZED religion. They took something that was chillin on its own and subjugated it to political reformations. In conflating politics and religion the population at large (especially the secular peoples) wrongfully point the finger of blame at " the religion." Is it the religion or religion that was politicized and put under a framework that is not of its own? Also this is dangerous because it now divides people based on political parties and now even religious parties as well. If we look at history it is not hard to find the harmony that Islam created amongst ALL religions and ALL peoples. We don't need to recount the beauty that was Andalusia for example. Verified historical claims and proofs of that time are available for everyone to view. Harmony and equality provided by the Muslims at the time was unlike that seen anywhere else, so much so, that "enemies" of Islam at the time converted solely based upon being treated rightfully. They were treated better than under their own kingdoms which held their own (Christian) beliefs. Let us not forget Salahadeen and how just he was. For me to write a sentence or two recounting this does not do it a single justice so I will not even attempt it. Andalusia and Salahadeens time are only two small segments of so much more awesomeness that existed. 'Tis truly a mind-expanding and heart-warming experience when one researches the schools of thought, schools of education, math, philosophy, sociology, physics, medicine, inventions and so much more that revolutionized the world. Much of the scientific growth was also attributed to this harmonious bringing together of people of knowledge from all backgrounds, walks of life, and religions for the sole purpose of bettering our knowledge as human beings. For example the libraries where this took place and people came to learn from one another and publish and write were all around, I believe some of the larger ones were in Egypt and Iraq. Guess who came through and burned most, if not all, these libraries. Some historians estimate that we could've been a 100 years more civilized as a human race if we had some of what was burned forever. You can take from that what you will. Oops I wrote a bit much.
