Well-deserved si Ate Vi as National Artist. Kung tutuusin, dapat si Ate Guy ang isa pa rin mag endorse at magnominate Kay Ate Vi as National Artist dahil aminin man natin o Hindi, Mas maraming achievements, awards, recognitions at accomplishments si Ate Vi for 6 decades at naging Lingkod Bayan pa sya kumpara Kay Ate Guy. Tapos sinasabi NI Ate Guy na kumare, kaibigan at hinahangaan niya SI Ate Vi nung hindi pa sya nag aartista, gustong - gusto nyang panoorin ang Ging at Trudis Liit, kung ganun Pala eh di Pala sincere ang pakikitungo niya Kay Ate Vi? It seems that you have forgotten or just you really don't know its meaning by allowing Dingdong Danttes to have a press conference just to nominate you for National Artist which is the first of its kind. You will be nominated by the appropriate film critics who has the proper credentials based on your body of works and as suggested by the National Artist Critera. It's pure common sense on your part to have stopped DD to do such press conference and fanfare. You made yourself a "laughing stock" particularly the error that DD did when he announced that you were nominated in the prestigious OSCAR. You have to rectify this error to keep your integrity! Delicadeza is a Spanish-derived term commonly used in the Filipino language, which translates to 'delicacy' or 'propriety' in English. It is a value deeply ingrained in the Filipino culture and refers to a sense of appropriateness, decency, and discretion in one's actions and decisions.

Vilma Santos didn't know that she was nominated by AktorPH for the National Artist award. There's nothing wrong with having a press conference at Manila Hotel for Vilma Santos' nomination. The NCCA and CCP will ultimately decide. We'll just have to wait for the result!

Vilma has not really evolved from being a star to being an artist. She is multi-awarded, yes, but what difference does it make? She’s recognized locally but global recognition remained wanting. Simple: her films did not merit international acclaim so much so that her acting not at far with international standards which was obvious. She patronized commercial movies. Most her films were regarded by film pundits as mere representation her and her producers’ intention to make money. They failed exhibiting Filipino cultures and traditions. Most of her works sank without a trace. She did not risk doing roles which challenge her thespic talent even when she matured fell short giving her fans and movie going public movies that will long be remembered. When I Met You In Tokyo too light for an actress of her stature. It bombed critically and box office wise. She did not rise beyond the threshold of being a star to become an artist. An artist is fearless. An artist explores. An artist is passionate to her craft beyond time ( she traded her acting career for politics and yun ang big sayang) which Vilma for all her accomplishments is not….
