OnePlus 7 Pro in 2024! (How Does It Hold Up 5 Years Later?)

The OnePlus 7 pro was so far ahead of its time! I have a s22 ultra now and I still miss the OnePlus 7 pro. 90hz (One of the first consumer phones to have this), no hole punch cut out, Snapdragon 855, Up to 12 gigs of RAM, and 30w warp charging in 2019. I'm not a fan of the newer OnePlus phones but I do have my eyes on the OnePlus Open. I'm really hoping to see OnePlus make a comeback!

I really hope OnePlus really makes a comeback, it’s a good sign that they made a great foldable phone, now all they need to do is make a fantastic normal smartphone. I definitely agree that the OnePlus 7 Pro was ahead of it’s time.

@@adamsnebold I feel like they should make an "FE" (Fan Edition) model kind of like Samsung did for the Note 7. Basically a OnePlus 7 pro with a spec bump

I bought mine on January 2020. During 2nd year of my degree. Used it all throughout my graduation. 5 years running now in 2024. Changed the battery on 2022 though. Didn't update to Android 12. Still running the real Oxygen OS. Thought I'd buy a new one this year, used a flagship Xiaomi for a month. Hated it. Now back with my OP 7 pro. Missed it the whole month. Still running very smooth. Everything just works. I love the phone. From a 2nd year medical student to now, a Doctor, this phone has been an invaluable partner in my journey. Will wait for OnePlus 12 and decide whether to upgrade or not. If not, will continue using this for another year and will check the OnePlus 13 out😅

The OnePlus 7 Pro is just truly timeless and is proven further by your example. A 5 year old phone running totally smoothly in 2024! Definitely looking forward to see how the OnePlus 12 is going to be, though I don’t have the highest expectations. Xiaomi definitely isn’t for everyone, that’s for sure, though I’ve used Xiaomi at one point for a whole year and loved it personally!

I have the Oneplus 7t and oneplus 8 ,at that time those were fuckin beasts.. Now I do have the iPhone but still the androids are at their own place

That’s a bit high of a price for a OnePlus 7 Pro, most usually are around $100-$200. Either way, I’d still recommend it though, just check to see if you can get a better deal
