So be assured that there is not supposed to be a lot of bugs and usual bloatware in it. Edit : but can't say anything on part of privacy issues. Afterall, it does says that it sends your stuff to Shenzhen!

LoL, They knew people won't buy their phone if they keep making it expensive so they needed passive income from shared data, so they managed to reduce the price by sharing data in the name of merger with color OS and cost cutting by using mediatek chipset.

I bought the new Nord 2 and it did not ask me to allow data transfer, while searching for the apps in the app drawer. However even before the setup started, I have got an OS update. May be OP might have seen this video and turned down the pop I guess.

That did happen with me as well, switched from OP5T to Nord thinking it has enough power for daily use, in the beginning it was awesome, and somehow oneplus updates led me to sell it off two weeks ago, and jump ship to Samsung. The call quality ended up being the worst offender for me though.

I have never seen my friends owing oneplus 5 and 6 saying that their is any problem, but now they look twice in yt and community section before updating. Am agreeing with your statement to an extent, they need this strategy too for their profits but within a year! That hits me hard. I commented on many yt videos of Nord 2, as am very satisfied with this nord 2, so I wanted to purchase it, but ppl are suggesting me to look community and some Nord users denying me to buy it, saying the performance will suck within a year :(
