One of the unfortunate to buy the phone on launch. The phone on its own went off. Contacting service centre, asked to hold volume and power buttons for rebooting. Reason given was software issue.

Phones dont die immediately when the non IP rated phones fall in water. My OnePlus Nord CE 2 stopped working an hour after falling into the beach. My brother's Samsung basic phone shorted and blacked out in a 5-6 hours after falling inside a Waterfall.

Hey, is it freshwater? Most of the phones survive in freshwater! Why not try salt water? If the phone survives in those then there may be extra peace of mind!
