Though if you watch the whole thing, the conclusion seems to be that the OnePlus Pad offers more drawing space, and generally performs better, and he just recommends the Xiaomi Pad 6 based on the OnePlus costing $180 more than the Pad 6... which, at least in the US, doesn't seem to be the case and they are much closer in price these days.

I honestly think the Xiaomi one is way better than the OnePlus. I'm saying this from my OnePlus Nord 2 phone. The Xiaomi has a far better price point and the size is more portable than the OnePlus. The OnePlus seems less sensitive and I visibly saw more lag than on the Xiaomi... I do agree its up to each individual for what they might prefer when it comes to tablets. Great video 👍

I have the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro and used HiPaint and Clip Studio Paint on it. And I must say, it's pretty good. It's almost as good as drawing on my Huion 22 Plus. As far as making long straight lines for illustration is concerned, I use shape/line tool for that anyway so the (very minor) wobbling isn't even a problem.

@@skysky4198 so far so good, after a couple of months of using it, I have no issues with drawing using it and I even play some games on it. There's already the Xiaomi Pad 6s Pro with better specs but way more expensive, but the 6 Pro is priced significantly cheaper.

@@zultriova89 It's very minor based on my personal experience. When doing line art, I usually make quick strokes and not a continuous stroke. You can use the line or shape tool to avoid wobbling. Im using HiPaint and CSP.

Note taking performance is quite similar with the three so you can just go with the cheaper one

iPad 9 is a really old tablet so I probably recommend xiaomi

Does using a normal tempered glass( not matte) wear off the tip quicker than original screen?

Tempered glass is still very smooth and will not wear down the pen tip that fast

Nowadays I don't use screen protectors. I just use flip case. But I guess if you really want than get a matte screen protector but don't spend more than USD 10-15.

Thank you, i think i will go with tempered glass protection, some videos showed me that screen protectors which try to be paper like can damage the tip of the pen😵‍💫

@@asaki4659If there is texture, the texture will wear off the pen tip faster. Before you buy matte screen protector, see if replacement pen tips are sold.

Not necessary if you use flip case. It's really personal preference. Screen protector does not affect latency

Thank you so much! I'm very disappointed by oneplus as i had high hopes and it's advertised as 2ms drawing delay only. I did not realize it depends on smoothing settings. Xiaomi seems to be better in that regard too. Can it happen that oneplus updated the tablet/stylo software and it's better now? Would be great to compare with Huawei Matepad Air drawing experience too. Thanks again

Latency really depends on the app used. Best latency is usually with the company's notetaking app, and you will see companies advertise their latency performance with those notetaking apps. I have not tried Huawei MatePad Air yet.

Yeah, every time I look for a modern affordable tablet the S6 lite always comes up. I'm waiting for a refresh of that at this point.

@@EnterpriseKnightI hope they make one, but I don’t think there is a lot of chance of that happening. The Tab s 7 FE was actually pretty pricey for the corners it cut. And I heard that there will be tab s 9 FE editions in small and plus form, and the prices aren’t going to be cheap for them.

@@sloppynyuszi That would be the case. The S9 FE (and FE+) will likely be quite overpriced like the S7 FE. The S6 Lite is excellent for it price tag. The 2022 version is only a little more than a year old and it will serve you well. The main reason why Samsung S tablets will continue to beat competitors is the Wacom-powered S-pen and the technologies behind it. There is basically no equal, unless Huion or XP-Pen try to enter this market with their own styluses or something.

For wasting time watching youtube videos, games, etc, any midrange tablet these days will serve the purpose. But if one is seeking the tablet for eg. study purpose ( Note taking , drawing, etc ) , then Samsung is the only worthy option in the android platform. Why ? Because of the included S-Pen (which doesn't need to be charged) and the Samsung note application (the best note taking app in android). S-pen replacement nib is usually very cheap and even multiple third-party high copy pen can be purchased as an accessory because S Pen is just the most matured Pen technology in tablet. Whereas for other tablets, e.g. Xiaomi, the pen you bought for pad 5 will not be incompatible with the pad 6. The new pen cost almost $ 80 , the replacement nib cost another $10 and there is usually no high copy alternative because their product is just so new. So if anyone is looking a tablet for note-taking, my recommendation is go for Samsung tablet with S-pen support ( S6 lite is the cheapest one). If you don't like Samsung tablet, go for any iPad.
