Funny, I was expecting Batman Arkham Series’ gameplay to be used since they always do such HQ, perfect runs. But speaking of that channel, they just found an Easter egg hinting at Batman’s return in the Arkhamverse so you might be in for an updated version or part two coming at the end of the year. Still a very captivating recap of the timeline btw.

Why would they include Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in the Arkham verse! It’s just sad that that universe ends with the death of all the JL! It’s an interesting choice. I think the game would have been received better had it been set in its own universe.

I just pretend knight is the last game and aftewards, the only time we see that universe again is the comic where batman travels the multiverse and meets all the other versions, including the arkham batman.

I vaguely remember a theory that the dimension you’re on in KTJL isn’t the same as the original Arkham Games, so hopefully Conroy can get a better send off than being murdered on a park bench

It seems to me that although they intended Assault on Arkham to be canon, they weren’t too careful about it and behind-the-scenes probably didn’t keep everyone on the same page. So you end up with inconsistencies like King Shark dying then inexplicably being alive in Suicide Squad as a totally different character. Going based on the new game, it would suggest Assault is no longer canon or it’s now in the “soft canon” category (ie maybe it happened or something like it happened but you can’t take it as gospel).

Tbh that's unlikely :( I do enjoy the fast and furious movies but don't have nearly the same passion for them as I do Batman or some of the other franchises I've tackled. And that's definitely needed for the time it takes to go through them and put the recaps together!

Wowwww.. as someone who's essentially NEW to all of this...as i am NEITHER A GAMER or much of a so called "superhero" fan.... Meaning I know of the popular comic book superheros... And a fan of Batman movies.. BUTTTT... Thats where my fandom start(ed) and stops(pped) I by chance JUST GOT INTO WATCHING THESE CUT SCENES on a random whim of watching the newest Mk1 cut scenes and being instantly entertained..and following thru on it all.. and i LOVED IT. I didnt even know all of these MORTAL KOMBAT cut scenes had anything to do with the actual game i assumed they were just independent movies made from the lore.. anyhow.. it got me back in MORTAL Kombat for the first time since like 1997 lol . And i been on a rabbit hole ever since.. (around two months ago). And then...AGAIN.. by chance i stumble on SSKTJL. AND I ACTUALLY LOVED IT as a movie.. and thought it was exceptionally entertaining... Then all the related videos started showing up on my algorithm of EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT HOW HORRIBLE IT IS.. and i was like there is NO WAY what i just watched was universally unliked by so many people... Not that I'm some kinda taste maker or anything but it just wasnt registering.. so as i watched more of the videos from gamers i noticed they would all pretty much praise all the things i liked (as a non gamer as far as the graphics and some of the story) .. and hated the game play which i have absolutely no context to being as i haven't played any of these games EVER. But then i noticed ppl talking about how much they hated the fact it was related to the batman "Arkham series" and that started to stand out to me and it began to peak my interest.. so to better understand why i started to go down the Arkham rabbit hole and the only frame of reference I was given to use was VIDEOS OF CUT SCENES and actual game play in real time and It just wasn't enough... it wasnt broken down in a way to me (just by watching the cut scenes without anyone giving me context) in a digestible way so I pretty much GAVE UP. THEN..... BOOOOOMMM .. FF to Saturday night 2/24.. im in my bedroom about to sleep for the night clicking thru the usual round of KZfaq videos i do which vary in many different ways.. with one of them recently being "the Arkham series".. and THIS VIDEO IS PUT ON AUTO PLAY MY ALGORITHM AND BOOOOOOOOMMMM 😮😮😮😮 you and your video, my FRIEND... Appeared like some form of divine intervention... Breaking down... categorically THIS ENTIRE TIMELINE in a MASTERFUL WAY. That FINALLY AFTER TWO MONTHS of trying to understand why all the negative criticism of SSKTJL exist...Anddd... After watching...NEEDLESS TO SAY I FINALLY CAN FULLY AND EMPHATICALLY UNDERSTAND, WHY.... As in just merely watching your video.. whether to the trained eye or not.. THERE IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SHIFT in what this series was...and ended up with. I mean it's LIGHT AND DAY. The first games were like watching the NOLAN trilogy and loving it for the incredible piece of art it is... then it being capped With all of the characters and backdrop being transformed into the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY world... Like WTFFFFFFF just happened...How did i come from this dark.. And Stylistically Noir world of superhero crime fighting WORK OF ART. Into this fun filled light hearted...FAMILY FRIENDLY Comical WORLD of JOKES AND FLASHY OBJECTS... THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME AND ENERGY to make this incredible video... I now GET IT SOMEWHAT ..as someone who doesnt game nor was (am) a hardcore fan of superhero movies. How this game could've upset people who were expecting something else... Because for real . AS A SOLO... UNIQUE WORK OF FICTION telling the story it was supposed to.. I LOVED IT. but coming out of a universe that already had an established theme and fanbase i definitely GET IT NOW. P.S. the FEAR TOXIN BATMAN obviously made zero sense to me as well .. even though i found the design to be INCREDIBLY COOL. I was like . How in tf did batman turn into this and ACTUALLY BE FIGHTING THE SS in real life... I mean i was baffled to the core. Again thank you GOOD MAN. Your work is incredibly appreciated. 👍🏼

The Matter Of Family DLC From Arkham Knight had one job and that was to fit its story in the timeline properly. All they had to do to achieve that was to use Dick Grayson instead of Tim Drake as Barbara's partner. Considering the DLC is set before Arkham Asylum, Barbara would become Oracle soon after. Using Tim makes Dick's time as Robin short and Jason's even shorter.

Not true because around Arkham asylum he has Jason as his robin he met Grayson after origins and bat girl was already running around after she saw bats so Tim fits perfectly considering dick already left and Jason was presume dead

@@davonross1022 is there evidence to suggest that Tim was Robin in Asylum? I just figured that if Babs is already Oracle by Asylum then there must be a HUGE timeline jump between it and Origins because Bruce cycles through 3 Robins and Batgirl in such a short time frame

@@jessemastroit’s not a short time frame, from origins to asylum is 20 years or so. He’s had time to have Jason Todd, dick Grayson and now Tim Drake who is under his 2-3 year by the time asylum starts.

Waller didn’t die in Assault on Arkham, not sure if something in the vid made it seem like she did? The main inconsistencies between the movie and game is Deadshot (which gets explained by saying he’s an imposter and the real one is in Suicide Squad) and King Shark dying (which isn’t explained). Truthfully I think the new game ignores the movie but a lot of it can still fit fine as “soft canon.”

it ended with arkham knight. SS:KtJL is a what if / elseworld type game AT BEST. whoever signed off on that story and (gameplay ffs) should be deeply ashamed and prob. think about switching carreer to selling hotdogs.
