Hey my fellow Giant I’m a big guy also 6 foot 5 and weigh 305 and I have owned a pint pint XXRXR plus and I just got the GT a day ago. OMG!!! What a game changer!! I think for us larger gentleman we now know what it truly feels like to float. We have been 100% missing out due to our weight and now it’s game on. I’ve never been able to smash so many roots and go up so many steep hills without a second thought. I used to ride so cautiously worrying about falling because I just wasn’t enough power for 300lbs. So now it looks like I’ve Gotta get these rails also. I appreciate the video keep putting them out I’ll subscribe and like and enjoy the float life my man!

Great vid! Side note: no one LIKES opening these things up, but sometimes you have to. Can’t wait for the repair centers to be announced!

Oh for sure! I’m more talking about a consumers perspective. As a repair shop we do open these up. But what I’ve seen with mods that include opening the controller or battery is they need to be done perfectly for things to go smoothly. Lots of room for human error

Riding 15 psi is the sweet spot for me I'm sticking with the stock rails for now I'm going to let the aftermarket play itself out for a year and then decide definitely going to try an Enduro tire though

You’ll have a nice contrast with your “returned to stock” setup versus the full mod board.

Not only does dragging the tail make you lose stability, you can’t slow down as much besides the actual friction of dragging

I think it's funny you say you lose control easier dragging your tail rather than the nose. All of my worst accidents have been due to dipping my nose too far and the board throws me forward off of it. I've slid on the back end of my pint several times with no issues at all, usually when coming to a sudden stop and basically skidding on the tail of the board.

Great review Kyle! I was actually kind of surprised to hear how the tail is on downhill runs, looking at it parked it looks like the tail would actually drag more but it sounds like it’s just the opposite. Can’t wait to get out there and give them a try looks like this might be my first upgrade for the GT after I get some work done on my trusty old XR ;)

Any feedback on riding in Elevated mode? Does that help prevent the nose from dipping down?

It’s not enough of an issue to switch riding modes for me. Highline and flow are great on lightnings!

The lower center of gravity is the move! Stoked to see all the mods coming! But just so you're aware, you will not get tail clearance with a lowering kit. You will actually get much worse tail clearance.

Those are the frisbee golf discs from SLS and Tech Rails. It’s a way to convert to a 6.0” hub

I see on the website it says stock fender delete must be cut. Will a stock fender fit if you do the same thing? Or other fenders?

I cut my fender delete to fit. The new GT flight fender from flight fins fits it fine. I have one of those Preordered.

Yes. At first it felt different but it was more adjusting to it not being as too heavy as stock.

Currently there isn’t any custom shaping on the GT. If you’re asking if it makes you ride nose down like the WTFs without the tilt kit it does not.

You riding on like 2psi? LOL. Looks interesting. I feel my stock GT is more stable than the XR. I'd love to be able to give custom rails a shot, but wish someone I knew did it first so I could just ride there's. It's a bit of work to swap it and then not like it.

I used the disc golf driver from SLS/tech rails that allowed me to use an XR motor. I’ve since gone back to stock tire though. Still figuring out the best setup for me!
