Super interesting to see the XR still pull ahead on the uphill segments just by making up lost time on the flats, really goes to show the GT needs some love to live up to it's potential. I will say, I would definitely expect this result to be quite a bit different for maybe a less experienced rider, especially on uphill segments. The XR is extremely capable if you've dialed in how to keep up your momentum to make up for that lack of torque, but riders who aren't quite as skilled at that might find the GT more forgiving in that regard, making much more of a difference. Definitely still a necessary skill to have for higher level racing regardless though. Sick video! Looking forward to seeing how future firmware updates and mods shake things up 👀

the GT will catch up soon. I think the nimbleness and bigger tire help keep it close right now with the faster XR but as as soon as we get a little more miles on it and new update on GT firmware . Great Video Branden!

Appreciate your input. I am still on the fence about the GT. I am over 50 years old and the scariest parts of my rides are the uphills and transfers from pavement to dirt or grass.

Mostly excited for the potential to have the battery power to do longer trail rides, xr is somewhat limiting for me on trail range.
