@@nathaneadson2019 I lived in tarps in deep winter, when outside was -7, inside my open style configuration of tarp was 0 degrees sometimes -2. So no problem! I've been sleeping just in a bivy too in winter without any fire it was fine too... ! I like my tents to be airie, all vents wide open, even doors open, it is not pleasant to sleep in well closed and not ventilated tent with a lot of moisture from condensation. In this tent 2m person can sit up no problem by the way.. Downside is rain on angle for this tent, but it is possible to make it super low and then it is not a problem. Also you can combine two shelters together, I would not trust those zippers to hold water but in that case front panel will protect you from front rain. As for long distance hikes and emergancy shelter it is quite nice actually. For survival in Siberia of course you better use some heavy duty expedition tent or something..😆

I will try it in deep winter for sure! When it rains you can combine two shelters to deal with that. Also when using without a bugnet, you ca set it a bit lower and crawl deeper inside and it deals with most of the moderate rain for sure. But yeah this shelter is great emergancy shelter or good option for super long hikes. It weights only 300g and fits in the pocket, and you can use it as a poncho. Price wise the cost is same as basic poncho but this one is versatile. For emergancy shelter, winter shelter, long hike shelter, and a poncho I think this is great deal..!
