I have to agree. One reason to this that they don't have battery or Bluetooth chip.

Please note that my unit is not the final retail version - in this unit the controls feel bit flemsy when they are attached to the X1.

I'm really a poor judge for colours as I am colourblind :) But this panel looks really nice in my eyes.
