this game's understanding of commands is so fucking funny to me. it can comprehend "strangle" as "attack", and also seemingly has a command for "hang" but doesn't understand "leave" and responds to "help" with "don't be silly"

There is an extreme satisfaction found in imagining Samwise Gamgee, son of the ol' Gaffer, waking up, cleaving his friends skulls in twain, stealing the Ring of Power, struggling to tie a noose for himself, failing to understand the purpose of a door - or the abstract idea of "outside" - and then finally opening his lips to utter a single word... "... Hello."

Showing how good LoTR would've been if Oney was the main character, DingDong was an elf, and Julian a dwarf.

My favorite part of this is the background music edited in that sounds completely normal for this game.

You can hear the moment Ding Dong's level of investment rockets from 0 to 10 when Frodo's skull is cleaved.

I don't know if you're initially armed or not, so I can ONLY assume you just karate-chopped Frodo's head in half.

All I learned from this is that Sam is a heartless killing machine hellbent on obeying any order Frodo barks out even if it is to kill Frodo himself.

Ooooh - you guys don't know the half of it! This was one the first games i worked on back in the way back in the 80's. The programmers left in some amazing bugs. Try getting into your backpack, closing the backpack, and then go off on your travels. The Black ridfers can't see you. Go to Bree and kill the black riders horses in the stables. Everyime they see you, they will try to chase after you on dead horses. If you give the ring to a black rider when they ask for it, the other black riders are all scripted to attack whoever has the ring. Sit back and watch the massacre, and then attack the last one standing once he's been beaten half to death by his compadres. etc, etc.....

I've never seen an Oney video spiral as quickly out of control as this one

Played this and found you can take the table in Merry's home. Went up to the Brandywine Bridge. Gave table to Black Rider. "You are on a stone bridge with many arches over a wide river. You can see 3 Black Riders mounted on tall black horses. Being carried by the Black Rider mounted on a tall black horse is a table. On the table is a welcome meal"

The character story arks: Sam: kills pippin, kills Frodo, takes the ring, runs into town & gets killed by black riders. Frodo: instructs sam to kill pippin then Sam kills him Merry: gets into a fight with a mermaid & drowns trying to punch himself Pippin: get drunk & travel around with Frodo & Sam & then get lost & killed by black riders.

The first time I watched this I was hungover like I had never been before and wished only for the sweet release of death. I clicked this video on a whim and it was the one thing that managed to make me laugh like a banshee and temporarily forget my anguish. For that I am ever grateful.

GODDAMN. This episode had me IN TEARS laughing within just a few minutes. Gotta love that the creators went ahead and said, “FUCK THE STORY CANON” and allow you to cave Frodo’s skull in as Sam right off the bat.
