Rain or water is the biggest enemy for onion. So please keep onion stored only in a cool and dry place with good Ventilation. To avoid rainwater to touch the onion we keep the onion safely in a proper steel shed and also cover it with a GREEN NET which allows air to pass through, but reflects away the water droplets from the rain.

Works well in Madhya pradesh and Rajasthan. It is not followed mostly in Maharashtra.. So it depends.

May be its cheaper but it's not suitable for MASS STORAGE... we are planning to store about 10 kgs crores worth of Onion next year.. Cannot keep them all dangling 😊
