Days gone is the perfect example of why game studios should listen to the fans and not the critics, the critics all hated this game but everyone who played it truely loved it,

I gave up. As much as Days Gone 2 is wanted, Sony doesn't want to make it. I didn't play online, and online play seems to be what most games are geared towards. Another chapther unfortunately closed.

The Days Gone movie is most baffling. You generally have a movie or show tie in with a game you think has a fanbase or a game that at least is ongoing and you want to pull new players into. So they think Days Gone is a good enough IP for a film adaptation but don’t want anything to do with it as a game franchise. Don’t get it. Lol. And not casting Sam Witwer as Deacon is just bizarre and will make it feel like just another zombie movie at the end of the day.

As an old school gamer.. this is one if the greatest games of recent time I've ever played.. great game and legit pissed me off to learn they wouldn't make a sequel.. I don't even buy games anymore but I would buy this.

I played Days Gone on the PC in 2021. Maybe it's because by then the game had already been polished, but I found the experience to be enjoyable. I do hope there will be a sequel because while there was a resolution in terms of the main protagonist's story, the larger story is clearly not over.

I'm not buying any multiplayer only game that focuses on skins, bundles and drop feeding content

RIP Bend Studio. A game set in Western Oregon would've been amazing! I've been all around the Willamette Valley and seeing those places in a game would be really dope. Portland would be pretty much the same as real life, brain-dead zombies and filth everywhere.

I used to be a huge gamer as a kid but now in my 30s with a kid I find that games just "arent the same" that is until I played Days gone, I was hooked straiht away. Im gutted there wont be another... I need to try and find some more games like this now!

Days gone was an amazing game!!! Rough around the edges but still amazing.

It had its fair share of bugs, but I've played many games that were far worse yet weren't even known for having many issues. Although they were also notorious for bugs, every single game I've played in the Fallout franchise (Fallout 3 onwards) were far more unstable than Days Gone ever was (despite them being great games too). I've always thought Days Gone was one of the most underrated games I've ever played. I must have returned back to it for at least three more playthroughs over the years. I'm sure being a passionate biker for all of my adult life has also contributed to my affinity for it too. I'm super pumped at the idea of a sequel.

I miss games having in depth campaigns and story lines. For instance the call of duty franchise. Before online was a thing the campaigns took weeks to complete now you can do it in 4 or 5 hours. I like online but this game is the first game that I truly played and completed all the side missions, now I'm doing the new game+. It is by far my favorite game I have played since the early 2000's. Please do some addons to open new map and missions at least!

I really enjoyed days gone. It was different. They could build on what they have and make it better.

As an avid gamer the adrenaline of hordes chasing after you and gathering weaponry to defeat them is very cool and interesting? Graphics were very cool and at times a few glitches here and there? But still an addictive game to play,story line and game mechanics very fluid from riding the bike and aiming at targets. Hopefully a sequel of hordes spreading to an actual big city ala like The Last of Us?

Days gone is one of my top 5 games of all time., one of the few I have played to the end and done EVERYTHING I loved playing that game!

I purchased a PS5 3 weeks ago just for this game and within a few hours, I was happy with my choice.

I would like to see days gone be set in the city with tall towers and skyscrapers and new vehicles like buggys, hang gliders and planes, helicopters and a small propeller glider plane and some sort of other glider and grapple hook

I get so sick of the Game devs and the big console company's killing all these great single player games. I don't like live streams,they are just a way for the console manufactures to rake in more Money and Control . I quit all the Console's a few years back when I figured out what they were up to.

I naturally expected a Days Gone 2 when Deacon met with O'Brian and O'Brian took off his headgear to show that the freaker virus was evolving. And that, Your Honour is my defence for a Days Gone sequel.

Studios being forced to chase a Fortnite style live service game will be the death of the industry as we know it. Sony is the perfect example. Wanting to release 12 live service games in hopes that at least one of them would be the next Fortnite or Destiny. Instead just focus on 1 live service game and make it great, so you have your cash cow. Then use the money you would've wasted creating so many live service games to fund the single player games that everyone wants. It's like they don't get that gamers are really only willing to support a few great live service games at a time. Instead they want to flood the market in hopes of one of em retaining a player base.

It's kinda like wtf, why aren't they doing a sequel for this game with the garbage that is coming out now. If there was a days gone 2 coming out this year I'd have it as game of the year right now.

If there would be the possibility of Days gone 2, if the movie ever comes out we all need to watch it in theaters in opening day at least twice each just so we can at least catch Ben Studio or Sony's attention. We litterally have to throw money at it as that is all they care about.

I think these live service games need to come out because of how much time has been put into them. The market will determine if it lives or dies. Along with stopkillinggame movement could really affect these live service games to be changed for us to enjoy in the future. I would rather not waste 5 years of development. Sony biggest issue is the lack of games that have come out, and the price of the system hasn't gotten cheaper in 4 years. Only more expensive with savings to making them. So, Sony profits are high, but gamers are being charged more, getting less.

if they continue the series as a Left 4 Dead 2 inspired live service it ain't all bad, L4D2 is as close as we got to a proper live service in the early 2010s and it is IMO the greatest zombie game ever, better than Telltale's Walking Dead, RE4 & 2, Dead Space, Dead Rising and Last of Us, despite the chaos of multiplayer it conveys the hopelessness of a zombie apocalypse like no other game

It’s bizarre we barely have actual true multiplayer games and the market went full balls deep in this live service trend. Sir, bring back couch coop and watch the gaming industry thrive. What these idiots fail to realize is how much is actually required to play their live service games. The game itself, its battle pass, your subscription to play multiplayer, your WiFi to access multiplayer, a house, a tv, electricity, and above all of that! You need Ethernet or you’re just messing around with ghost pretty much. So basically about a solid 1,500 - $3,000 a month but wait double down on the income you need to make to spend that amount of money to be able to comfortably afford all of this. It’s no wonder people trash live service. We grew up paid a one time flat rate and got a whole entire product with no other bills or gimmicks.

Sony really needs to green light a days gone sequel, I have played through this game twice and enjoyed it even more than the first time. The game review companies don’t have a clue what the fans will like and to be honest they are biased towards the big names in the gaming industry so my take on the game is how each character was so genuine and that includes the bad ones to. I believe if Sony would listen to the fans and do the sequel it would definitely be a huge hit of course they would have to leave it a one player game and make it longer as well, having online play always seems to bring in the cheaters and that is what sucks so let’s try and get the petition up over 500k and see if we can get Sony to change there minds

Man they really did sam witwer dirty. Such an amazing actor, but never seems to get a chance in the spotlight. Loved his star wars performances, especially the force unleashed.

I want game companies to start making more games like this with coop options. I miss the days of playing through a campaign with a friend or two. Dying light was amazing in in that way, days gone would’ve been sweet too.

I have no clue why people are shocked when they make a show or a movie about a game they hire an ACTUAL ACTOR over a voice actor. They literally want a name to put on the poster, NO nobody knows who Sam Witwer is, nobody beyond some Star Wars nerds would see that name on a poster and say "ooh I need to see that" There is generally a massive difference between movie actor, tv actor and video game/cartoon voice actor

Stumbled upon this after seeing Days Gone 2 petition reached 200k. Kinda gave me false hope but kinda wish they'll open the chapter that they willingly closed. The ending was so good it gave many people ideas on what to expect on the sequel but sadly there is none.

I actually believe that before a Days Gone 2 happens, a Day Gone Remake should be made first. The original had issues, gameplay and story wise. A lot of modders noticed there were stuff that was cut that could have been fun if implemented. Personally, I want Days Gone to be a little bit like State of Decay in terms of weapon, equipment, tools, materials, and ingredient variety, as well as an improved crafting system. Being able to improve a base and then having some kind of boon for doing so would be interesting. Frequent Freaker attacks on the bases I feel like should make the game playable for a bit longer as well. Story wise, I feel like Carlos deserves a better overall character development. He's not memorable at all. The other leaders also felt like they're only decent to have and to talk to for a short while. Real consequences should be present as well. Boozer should have died, not because I don't like him, but because I feel like his death would definitely help Deacon's character development. Oh well.

I hate the new story. Leave the freakers just as they are. Focus more on the fact that the whole planet has infected freakers and make the hordes massive, like 10.000 freakers, 50.000 and many many more, new weapons like rockets, tanks you can drive and stuff like this. Just imagine, a whole planet as a playground with billions of freakers. For example the big major citys have 10 millions people and left are only 5, 6 or 7 million freakers that rome the city, just like in I am legend. Just think about it....the story writes it self basicaly.

2 of my favorite games got this treatment days gone and watch dogs I know there is a second watchdogs game but I was expecting a dark vigilante aiden pearce story aiden and deacon have been done dirty in games

Intelligent zombies with sticks and spears? I dunno about that one. Zombies are reanimated dead people, so it doesn’t make sense they’d have the ability to think. But people coming back from the dead doesn’t make sense either. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Bend Studio confirmed back in June 7 2022 they moved on completely from Days Gone to create a new IP, no real reason to keep milking fans for views over something that's not happening
