The cd player is more lower-middle , it sounds thicker, more massive .

Before and after the 4:00 mark, the high piano notes sound "better" to me on the CD. They become muted and dull when it switched to streamer.

It seems like the CD sounds better.

I guess its the same sound quality cause a network player and a CD player connected to the same Integrated AMP wich is has one unified DAC (it dependents of connection which DAC device give a out sound) If the digital connection will play the DAC of the amplifier, if the analog connection will play the DAC of the player.

I have the cd player Onkyo C-7030 and the difference is the cd player has a brighter sound if you know what I mean.Some people like this feature and others don't.Just use your tone controls to get the sound that you like best.

I have the impression that the cd player has a "bigger" sound, a bit more forward and maybe with a bit more extention in the treble, but I'd be able to tell that only in direct comparison. On the other side, the streamer is more convenient; who wishes to get up from the couch he's lying on, just to change a damn cd? :)

Using my Neumann Studio NDH 20 headphones and my 1963 model year ears i couldn't hear a difference. In the room could you hear a difference?

Can’t hear any difference at all between the two. When streaming from my CA CXN v2 using Tidal, I can hear a huge difference when compared with my Cary Audio CD 500. The CD has a better sound stage, more clarity too.

Два аппарата одного уровня. Причём cd звучит интереснее. Однако сетевой проигрыватель почти в двое дороже))). Странно))). Нам рассказывали разные специалисты про то что в сетевых нет ничего лишнего что есть в cd проигрывателях. Рассказывали про то что при современных технологиях за теже деньги уровень аппаратов гораздо выше. И что мы видим? Сетевые одного уровня с cd стоят почти в два раза дороже. Развод на деньги чистой воды)))
