hi all, just a quick note to say .....FANTASTIC 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I’m 14 years post Pentostatin (2005, 7 x A’s and b’s) and 5 years post cladrabine (2015 5 day subcutaneous , thanks Claire)

At age 42 I was diagnosed with HCL in January 1998--25 years ago this month. My red blood count was down to 3.0 or slightly lower when I was admitted to the emergency room. I was hospitalized for one week during which I received many blood transfusions to keep me alive, (as well as being subjected to a battery of tests). At the end of a week, they determined I could be released to go home. They prescribed me Cladribine, which I injected myself at home after doing the first injection under my hemotologist's guidance in his office. My regimen was one subcutaenous injection for seven days. As a consequence of the Cladribine, my white blood count dropped precipitously and I developed a high fever and had to be put back in hospital. I spent nearly three weeks in hospital isolated from others to ensure I survived long enough for my white counts to return to normal. They gave me Neupogen regularly to stimulate the growth of the white cells. After release from hospital, I spent about a week or so resting at home and I was back at work two months after my initial diagnosis. I have not relapsed in all these years. As of my last blood test (January 2022), my blood counts were normal. I have my next checkup in two months and we'll see if my counts remain holding steady.
