Many foods contain high levels of sulfur. But, eggs are the easiest to use for silver patination. Simply break apart a boiled egg yolk in a resealable plastic bag or container and place your silver piece in with the yolk material. This fumigation technique may take a little longer than dipping your silver jewelry into a Liver of Sulfur solution. But, it will work. And, isn't it great to have a plan B if you're out of Liver of Sulfur?
