This tower used to be amazing but after the rework update it became use less. Shame it took so much effort to beat the event.

I remember first obtaining the Shredder and was actually awestruck by the design and stats. A shame that not only was it nerfed to the ground, but they downgraded the looks tenfold.

Lol, this brought back nostalgia of old shredder.. I miss that time, and the pain of having to try to get that event tower, only to have it get nerfed into the ground a yr later..

i remember beating the gladiator event for the first time, i felt so proud, it was one of the first things in tds that required strategy and i would say its still up there as one of the hardest event bosses in the game not only because its sheer difficulty but also the rather limited towers at the time and then they sold it a couple years later, belownatural more like buildintogames also shredder somehow isn't the worst event unit, commando does like 20 dps at max

the fact that shredder is my favorite tower and i use him in any strategy and he still works for said strategy says alot unfortunately, below copied the shredder and gave it a boomerang and wabamza executioner or something

i have shredder and i was so mad when below changed it to slasher cuz it just sounds more weak and when he nerfed it too it was so fun to use before

Tbh slasher can be used as a gladiator in molten mode, not as primary dps, just use a expensive tower like ranger to take care of everything, slasher can kill hiddens and since they are cheap you can just spam them and dont have to worry to click the ability button, yes is worse, but its more fun

The thing you need to remember is that gladiator has 80 DPS but is entirely splash. Meanwhile, shredder had 90 DPS but was (and still is) mostly single target apart from the knife throw. The nerf is just baffling to me.

I’m pretty sure the Commando is also pretty rare since the Area 51 event happened quite a while ago

the nostalgia... the halloween event was the hardest event i ever played and i the part of the map that i remember the most was the entrance/base and ofc i did not win it because i was kinda noob

Well, I collect event towers mostly just for the collection. The event tower that I've mostly use right now is toxic gunner Can you guys stop comparing the event towers already? There's no point arguing, it's you guys that have to decide by yourself which one is good for your own gameplay.

I have the swarmer and slasher but I was so excited when I won the Halloween event cause it was so hard for me. I stopped playing tds for a bit, then I come back and I see that barely anyone won the slasher event, then I did a match to see if anything changed and it got a nerf.

i remember once, my friend bought slasher and archer from halloween 2020 gamepasses, and he was like literally all the time like "guys lemme use slasher and archer only" or "2019 event towers only" so he could play with them. after he found out how stupidly bad they are, he kept on saying he bought it to "support the game more" and it was so freaking annoying. and then, i bought gladiator cuz WHY NOT and it was op and my friend was saying a was p2w and it was just the worst.

Its hard in old halloween and everyone use "rocketer, minigunner, paint baller, outlaw, military base, medic, soldiers" needed in halloween 2019 event I was happy bc i win and in the lobby i always say " guys i win 2019 event " in the other lobby And thats my memories in old tds

Let's be honest all the 2019 event towers used to be so strong (Except for glad it suck before) but now my beloved 2nd Oldest Event tower (Commando) is living in a trashcan

I have slasher and i got to say it was so much fun to use and it did really good. their was 0 reason to nerf it. It was one of the hardest gamemodes that lasted less than a month, was a event tower that you could not buy after the event, and was good but not win the game good. it really sucks because it was my favorite tower fo so long but no its either archer or toxic gunner :(

Mostly feel like the frost blaster is the rarest tower, maybe even archer (holiday archer) Slasher was put on sale for the halloween 2020 event, so some ppl bought it.

I have all of the event towers but it just feels different from when I first used them, pretty saddening if you ask me since almost all of them got nerfed to the ground :

Dang I almost forgot a lot of these towers (not glad tho) shredder was very good at its time but the overhaul/hc update nerfed it so hard everyone who has it has forgotten about it but I think it will be reworked and be good

Come to think of it, slasher now is just worse executioner, it hits a ton of enemies but unlike executioner slasher has hd fast.

I have this tower in my other account because in 2019 in the Halloween event I went in there with only scout and sniper and it said you got slasher tower I said wow new tower so that was my first time playing it and after going to KZfaq searching tds it said new slasher tower and after a year ago I realized it was a event tower and really rare

Still kinda mad that the gladiator was sold as a gamepass since only the classic players of tds had them

man remember when this game was fun and you didnt need specific towers to win a mode, you could just play with a friend with a random loadout and win. yeah good times

It’s sad how Below treats towers like the Shredder. Remember John? Long gone. Cryo gunner’s ability? Taken away.

Front Blaster doesn't suck. It's a good offense-support hybrid, dealing more damage than freezer, but slowing enemies down for a shorter period of time. It's a jack-of-all-trades master-of-none tower. And look at its range. Nothing to scoff at. Also fairly cheap to place and upgrade. A group of frosties can easily stop glitches and fallen. Frost Blaster is highly underrated, just like shotgunner. Slasher is fine as an early game tower. It's also decent for molten speedruns (grinding). Gladiator is still better though. Honestly, slasher should have higher dps than gladiator, because it is a single target tower. The Knife Throw barely increases its dps enough to make it on-par with the gladiator. At least slasher is cheap, but gladiator is cheap as well.

I remember that you had to use paint baller for the event I have shredder but not glad the even was just to hard cuz of the tanks tanking for the creepers when we kill the tank then the creeper the creeper explodes into more enemies and we die

The rarest tower I have seen is the slasher. And that was back in the frost invasion event when I saw it.

I remember using the shredder I MEAN SLASHER got nerfed it was so good now it sucks so bad even when place 30 or 20 it can’t kill a tank or a giant boss

Actually probably more than one percent of the player base has it because when the hard-core update dropped you could buy it for 400 gems

i was half expecting something else other than those 4 towers
