Australia one is less crispy and more doughy and NZ one is more savoury and crispy Edit: People r starting a whole entire WW3 just cause I said that but the one I tried at the place did not taste that good for me but I only tried it once in AU but other places will prolly destroy NZ, it’s just that I’m patriotic for NZ and a bit biased, but I do consider AU being an amazing country definitely better than NZ at some categories, hope y’all understand

If you want to achieve the Kiwi style use flakey pastry and fill with steak casserole and lay cheese on top,then cover with pastry. Good luck.Kia ora from NZ.

my doctor/ specialist just told me i may have this! world changing. Seeing your comment and realizing my future might look very different :’) So far I don’t restrict anything from my diet (besides being pescatarian), but am sick and nauseous all the time. what kinds of foods cant you eat ?

@tita I have gastroparesis too and if you are diagnosed with it it doesn't automatically mean you can't ever eat these things. It is so individual. You have to figure out what works for you. It does make trying new foods more difficult but eventually you learn what sorts of things are probably okay to try and what things risk giving your hours or days of stomach issues. At least for me things high in protein and fat like what is shown here I can have a bite or two of but not the whole thing

My aunt and cousins (her daughter & son) migrated to New Zealand, and we visited them years ago. It was a very beautiful country and I still have wonderful memories of it. I love their fish and chips! It was so fresh and delicious! The scenery, AMAZING! 😍

I live in New Zealand and I can confirm they are amazing. Ask literally any Kiwi on the streets where to get the best pies in their area and they will tell you not only where to go but what pies are the best there.

I'm originally from India but I have lived in New Zealand for 8 years and let me tell you, it's the best country in the universe! The food is amazing, everything is freshly grown from berries to carrots to potatoes - you can literally find everything!! There are a lot of friendly people and the weather is slightly warm at summers and freezing in winters. There are ice mountains, waterfalls, beaches and lakes to swim in! And there's no snakes, crocodiles or any dangerous animals and insects to worry about. NZ is a must visit!

Obviously don't normally eat a pie only diet. The pastry usually has lots of lard in it, but the best has butter. Whatever, they are full of fats so you couldn't eat this diet continuously and have good skin.

It depends on what state you live in. But lets be fair here. Not all NZ pies are amazing. There are lots that arent. But when they are they are top tier. Sydney, Melbourne and even Perth if you research will find some absolutely amazing pies.

My dad used to tell me stories about his days working in NZ. He worked in an orchard to pay his way to go to Hong Kong, but every Friday their boss treated them to this little pie shop in town that made chicken pot pies that my dad still dreams of. He wants to go back just for the pies so badly

Whilst you're there you have to try Whittaker's chocolate - it is hands down the best chocolate! Especially the dark chocolate, sea salt and caramel + peanut butter one

Australia and New Zealand do have the best pies in the world, even us home cooks make great pies. My favourite to make is a spicy beef and vegetable pie and a spicy beef and vegetable pie with red wine. Hard to beat a good home cooking recipe.
