The way in which Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba approved a wedding-match for my sister was very convincing. But a secret story hidden got revealed only months later. And when that revelation came, my jaw just dropped to the ground in absolute wonder at the way our Lord works!
My mother was happy and interested in this prospective son-in-law and her thoughts found resonance with my father and sister. The horoscopes and stars also seemed to favour the couple. Thus, my parents and sister decided to travel from Mumbai to Bangalore and take the talks further. But before anything could be finalised, I put forth my condition,
“Only if Swami agrees to this match shall we go ahead.”
Is there anything that Swami does not know? Is there anything that He does not do for our good? The interaction with Him proved beyond doubt that Swami knows our innermost thoughts even before we think them! Why then do we need to explicitly ask or pray to God? That is also answered in this talk.

Sairam Aravind I want a clarification. When Dhruva started praying for a place on his lap his sadhana transformed him to ask for the lord. But how come Hiranyakashipu or Ravana did tapas and remained wicked. How to ensure that we should never become like these but be like Dhruva

Wow!!! That’s such a wonderful question… now that you ask it, I think this is how it works. If we start off with tamasic desires, we end up being Rajasic. If we start off with a Rajasic desire, then we end up with Satvik. If we start off with a Satvik desire, then possibly we seek the highest. Hope that makes sense. This is my understanding…

@saistudent My thoughts: Swami told us "I give you a troubled youth, otherwise you never turn to God". Jesus said "Become like children for theirs is the Kingdom". Children, young like Druva (5 year), are still innocent, hence less ego to lose. Also Swami told us "almost impossible to change older men, hence Swami focused on students". Ravana was not young, neither was Hiranyakashipu. Start early..drive slowly

Sairam .. The smallest and subtle desire of the chitta or our mind may end up in creating new life though some high souls attain salvation in earlier lives.. So our dear swami wants us to clear our chitta through service or good thoughts or anything that gives redemption to the soul to surpass mind drama thereby attaining chittasuddhi ... So my understanding is bhakti with chittasuddhi leads to moksha than jnana trying to attain chittasuddhi as minds trait is to wander and ask.. So our dear swami wants us to establish in bhakti through namasmarana and selfless service thereby taking care of our prarabhda as well as our final goal to reach the desired destiny or completeness of soul. Sairam.. Just a small understanding of a big question .. Please apologize for any flaws in my thoughts..

My parents were against my marriage and i prayed to swami .On Aug 1st 2006 swami came in dream and gave padanamaskar❤.From the next day everything came in place and till now everything going smooth with swami's grace. He is not a devotee but comes with me to parthi always. Waiting to see how swami transforms him 😃

Bro, my eyes are full of tears after listening to this story. Swami is talking through you. The last day my mind was completely after this topic, confused and depressed. Today morning too I have a small hangover about the fate/decision that happened. I was thinking everything gone wrong. After listening to this story of your sister's wedding, I feel a sort of comfort. Let's swami plan everything. That day when I was so much confused during my bride seeing, (nobody kept even a pic of swami there as the guests were atheists), there came a gift from one of my aunts at the right moment when am about to say yes/no -- a gold Guruvayurappan pendent. I thought this as divine presence. I went for pilgrimage to two sacred places a week before all these things was praying to God to get back my boyfriend. But, when situations happened as a surprise, I was shocked. When parents and relatives were willing to marry me off, I was reluctant as he was atheist and some other matters which bothered me. Finally, the alliance was ended. That was the end of the story. Still, am confused whether it was all wrong. I used to pray to Swami: "I will marry only the one Swami select for me, and the marriage should happen in Swami's presence".

Dear sister, Sairam. Whatever happens, please do not lose heart, courage and faith. Whatever happens, however bad or sad it may seem at that particular point in time, it is good. Trust your heart. That is Swami guiding you from within. Keep Him in everything you do and you will do nothing wrong. Keep your efforts going. Do your best, He will do the rest. In Sai love
