Who do you think is the prime suspect following OMITB Season 3 Episode 5? Comment your thoughts below!

Okay, I'll give it a go. 1.Ben is actually a set of twins. I'll refer to them as Ben one and Ben two. Ben two poisoned Ben one and murdered him because he was tired of sharing the spotlight with him, and he wanted to be the star of the play. If you look at the "GC" tattoo on Ben's fingers, it sometimes changes to "CG". There were two of them. And Ben two poisoned Ben one. In the pandemonium that followed, Ben two dragged Ben one's body and hid it in the theater. That's what the awful smell was in the theater when they went back in there. Ben one's decomposing body. 2. Loretta is Dickie's mother. She said she'd been lucky but then got unlucky and it stopped her career. She got pregnant. she's Catholic, so she didn't have an abortion, she carried the pregnancy to term then gave the child up for adoption. Ben's parents adopted the baby. That's why Dickie and Ben looked nothing alike. The scrapbook is not of Ben, it's of Dickie. Notice that some of the articles about Ben are cut out and only the photo remains. And all the photos have Dickey in them. Also, when Loretta is singing the lullabye, she looks right at Dickie when she sings "my darling"...she's his mother. She told Dickie, which is why Ben called her a snake. 3. Oliver is Dickie's biological father. Loretta and Dickie were both at Grace Jones' Studio 54 birthday party. They were both high. I think they had a tryst that Oliver has forgotten about. She got pregnant and returned home to have the baby. She tells Oliver that she had tried to be in his plays, and I think it's because they'd had a child together that he did not know about. Again, notice that when she's singing the lullabye, Oliver and Dickie are lined up, one right in from of the other. She sings "my darling" to Dickie, then ends the song and smiles at Oliver. Oliver is Dickie's dad, and Loretta has a fantasy about the family being reunited in some way. 4. Sazz is the killer of Ben two. She's the other 'twin', Charles' 'twin'. She dresses like him, and considers herself his protector and mentor. She wanted to be Charles understudy in the play. Sazz bought the handkerchief off ebay so she could have one like Charles' (she dresses like him). Ben was being confrontational and even threatening with Charles, so Sazz decided to confront Ben. She snuck up behind him, dressed like Charles, and then pushed him into the elevator shaft. Part of the motive being that if she;s caught and convicted, she can spend the rest of her life in jail with the woman she loves, Charles ex. The murder may have even been the exe's idea. 5. Tobert is working for Tina Fey's character, trying to bring Mabel over to working with her. That's his scheme. Fey contacted him and hired him after Ben was killed, and is paying him to get close to Mabel. Poor Mabel. I don't think he's the murderer, I think he's in cahoots with Fey. That's my far out theory.

Why is Mabel showing the board Tobert? I think he's now on my list of characters involved in Ben's death

One of the snippets says Ben went to the St. Louis high school- and Loretta told Charles she would throw her teeth under the bridge in the Mississippi River

After watching tonight's episode I believe Loretta is definitely Ben's mother!

I think Ben wrote F pig himself because he is disgusted with himself and the cookies

In Loretta's scrapbook, Dickie is in all of the photo's. Is Loretta obsessed with Dickie rather than Ben?!

I think Ben does have a secret lover; one of the articles Loretta has implies that he was seen dating someone

You have to consider that there could also have been 2 murderers, since Ben was first poisoned and then pushed down the elevator shaft.

Loretta made to look guilty. As in the play I believe the child's Mother died from a lightening strike. In one of the lines of the play Loretta is telling the Mother the weather is bad so you better get out of the storm. Oliver said something about lightening while they were on the Ferry. I believe Ben also died from an accidental fall

Tobert is at the top of my list. Ben’s death will dramatically increase the worth of Tobert’s documentary that he will sell to the highest bidder.

Loretta is in an earlier scene applying the same brand/color lipstick when she is putting her makeup on. I think Tobert may be working for Cinda Canning. He may have been hired by Ben to do a documentary on him, but in reality hes doing a documentary on the podcasting trio ( or keeping tabs on what the trio is doing).

I loved Sazz and Charles scenes

I think that Loretta is related to Ben somehow. The 3 babies in the crib that featured in the song in The episode “the white room” are an important clue 2 of them look alike 1 is different. I think Ben was one of triplets, with a set of twins and one other Dickie. The Murder mystery Parent Trap has this twin theme too. I think Ben disagreed with his twin about whether to continue acting. It is possible one twin killed the other for upsetting Loretta, but then the identical twin was also murdered possibly by Loretta or Dickie . Perhaps Loretta wanted Dickie to manage her career hoping at long last Dickie would put her ahead of the twin brothers . They could have worked together to get rid of the twins once and for all. The clue in the credits at the end about the Pope and the Catholic Church reveal Ben was prone to ‘acting differently’ and acting out at times which he blamed on medication which further confirms the twin theory. The Pope reference leads me to think that Ben’s mother was Catholic and maybe she had to carry her pregnancy full term due to her beliefs and maybe put them up for adoption. Ben may not have known Loretta was his his mother was resented her for that hence the Pope stunt.

I'm leaning towards (1) Loretta, because of all the red flags she showed on ep 5 aaand I kept thinking Meryl Streep does not do sequels to any of her show so making her a love interest to a main character is not sitting right for me. It's going to be hard to right her off if she's not the murderer. (2) Tobert. His elephant story is a huuuge red flag. I feel like the only reason he wants to get close to Mabel is to see if he's under their radar as the suspect. But on the other side, I'm thinking, we already had a murderer who's love interest to the main character (Jan). I don't think they would do another murderer who's having a situationship/relationship with our main 3.

Did you all see the set design from OMITB. The creator of the space takes us into all the rooms. Shows us Loretta's room. He said Loretta was a gift wrapper at Macy's most of her life while trying to get bit parts in plays. So they show ribbon in a few spots hanging in her apartment.. Reminds me of the ribbon she said she got at the party she was at and so was Oliver. I'm now beginning to think Loretta made up that story. That joint wasn't the one Oliver had rolled years ago. She made it with her own ribbon. Loretta is being mysterious. Maybe this is why she's called a snake by Ben.

Here are a couple of thoughts-questions: 1. At the beginning of the episode, is that Jonathon walking, holding hands with a woman when the voice over says ‘how the hell do you know who you are sleeping with?’ 2. Anyone else think that Tobbert could be related to the first person arrested (Greg)? I found it interesting that they looked a like. That may be how he gained access to the building. 3 Watching Ben fall in the recap, the handkerchief is nowhere to be seen yet ends up in his hand. Don’t know if that is just in relation to the monologue because at the time we see the fall another time he does have the handkerchief 4. I think it is too obvious to have a love interest as the guilty party. 5. I have two theories. I think the journalist gave Donna and Clifford a heads up on her review. Then I think one of them poisoned the cookies to get out of play and claim the insurance as they had seen his reaction during the read through. Or the brother did it to help Ben because he was having a lot of self doubt but it went too far. He was surprised that Ben had been declared dead and then shocked at the after party. I think the actual death may have been an accident…he may have thought he was stepping into the elevator but it was a big hole. I think be may have been with his brother and he made a grab for him but he only got the handkerchief. Dickie was so upset in the penthouse afterwards due to he accident. 6. I am not sure who it was that called Ben at the after party but was it the same person that Dickie was talking to as he followed his brother out of the theatre with the medics.

It showed during the rehearsal when Ben was fighting with Loretta onstage that they both were very physical. He put his hands on her and they were struggling. Maybe a similar fight by the elevator was happening. She pushed him in the process of this fight and down he goes

I find it interesting about the story Tobert told about filming the baby elephant and ultimately doing nothing. Makes me wonder if Tobert watched Ben’s killer and ultimately did nothing. And is he protecting the killer now? Why? Loretta seems to be Dickie’s mother because if you notice in the scrapbook, all the pictures have Dickie in the background. And Dickie was adopted. The note on the mirror could have been written by Ben. The footage of Ben talking could have been been his speaking to a plate of cookies--his weakness. After Ben ate the cookies, he could have written on the mirror in disgust with himself. Did he have a reaction to those cookies that made him collapse on stage? Were the cookies poisoned? Who brought the cookies? Just some theories.

I think Loretta is still a red herring or she’s in it with others, and she’s definitely connected to Ben somehow. My main suspect from the beginning until now is still the camera dude - Tobert, he’s got that sketchy look lol. But Dickie or Howard is also suspicious.

I am a little upset that Charles and Joy broke up. I know Charles is a jerk and everything, and is in serious need of therapy, but Joy loved him warts and all until he lied to her. I adore Andrea Martin and she’s so fun.

My thoughts were... . What if the girl in the picture isn't Loretta but GirlCop? Or simply Loretta is just so obsessed and when Ben denied her she or Bens brother might have pushed him causing him to fall. Could she have wanted a handkerchief but he said no and and it became a tug of war when she wanted his? Could it just be that she's so invested in him that it's not her and that someone overheard what Loretta called him so to cover themselves they used Lorettas words? My honest thought now is what if it really was Charles who killed him and blanked out? my top suspects are Charles (blackout murder), Jonathan (wanted to get his spotlight and help the cast be relieved of him) and Dickie (wanted out)... but what about Sazz? or could it still be Joy? Joy still isn't out the picture, she's pushy and clearly hasn't stopped wanting him, she still met him afterwards (I've dealt with Ben) For Sazz, she always wanted to be Charles, always wanted to be better, never got the call for the show, she's now in love with Jan which she's always gone with the exes? Sazz is the killer? she used poison with Jans help using cookies and the mirror as a cover, it didn't kill him the first time so she had to do it again, potentially all things will lead to Charles because she knows how to be him more than he knows himself. I doubt it's Loretta because she's who you want it to be currently to throw you off but I think there's a clue for how he died before falling on the elevator because he looks like he died before due to the blood on his chest. Looking at who was out of the room during the party: Loretta, Dickie, Joy, Sazz it makes me think Jonathan has a reason with the Dr C for it not to be him. maybe it's the trainer who Ben mentioned that he didn't want to let Jonathan share?

Hear me out: The tape we saw with mabel and tobert of ben in his dressing room is ben talking about (or to) the cookies. Think about it! "You're gonna ruin my career" The co-bro career requires a VERY strict diet. Ben said that himself. "-And I'm gonna like it." The cookies are something that Ben would be willing to give up his career for. "You're acting all sweet when you're not." The cookies may be sweet at first, but afterwards he will have the consequences on his body, such as gaining weight. I might be proved wrong, but I think that tape is a red herring.

Ben's brother as killer is my belief and has been from the start.

I think Ben and Loretta are related. Perhaps Loretta was his birth mother. Perhaps a surrogate birth mother? It looked like a parent’s scrap book.

Loretta is Ben's mother I'm sure of it , we gonna find out he was adopted

I feel like Loretta had a grudge against him which I am sure we will find out how & why but I think it’s too obvious of a suspect. Even tho she is on my list next to Tobert, & Dicky.

spoiler alert!!!! If you watch alot of youtube you will come across a video clip taken by bystander of Mable and her companions rushing to a limo in a wedding dress. hmmmmmm???? Can’t see the trio broken up by loves intervention so Tobert is either been murdered or is the murder suspect ….. time will tell

I don’t feel the chemistry between Joy and Charles, it feels too random and forced because they want him to have a love interest. There was more chemistry between Jan and Charles. Where is Lucy?

This season is unwatchable.
