Chalapathi Rao is an Indian film actor and producer known for comedy and villainous roles in Telugu cinema. He has acted in different roles in more than 600 films.
He hails from Baliparru, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. His son Ravi Babu is an actor, director and producer in Tollywood.
He has worked predominantly in Telugu movie industry. Chalapathi has worked in popular movies like Arjuna, Silly Fellows. Chalapathi's previous film to hit the theatres was Arjuna in the year 2020.

ఒకటి మాత్రం నిజం తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమ ని హైదరాబాద్ తరలించిన మహా మనిషిANR మాత్రమే ,ఇక ఎవరూ లేరు. ఇప్పుడు hyderabad చూడండి. అలాగే మాస్ మసాల లేకుండా 60దాటినా ప్రేమాభిషేకం అనే సినిమా ని ఇండస్ట్రీ హిట్ చేసాడు ఇంకా అన్ని రకాల పాత్రలు వేసి మెప్పించిన వాడు కానీ మారు వేశాలు మాత్రం తక్కువే 😁😁

Film industry Chennai lo unte bagundedi emo anipistadi naaku. Telangana వాళ్లు ఒక్క ఇండస్ట్రీ హైదబాద్ లో పెట్టుకునే వాళ్ళు. ఆంధ్ర వాళ్ళు చెన్నై ఇండస్ట్రీ లో సినిమాలు తీసే వాళ్ళు. ఇప్పుడు ఆంధ్ర వాళ్ళకి ఇండస్ట్రీ లేకుండా పోయింది

రేపులు చేసుకునే పాత్రలు వేసుకున్న చలపతి రావా అక్కినేని గురించి మాటాడేది. వీడు వో సినిమా function లో ఆడవాళ్ళ గురించి నీచంగా మాట్లాడి చెప్పుదేబ్బలు తిన్నాడు. వీడి మాటలకి నాగర్జున సారీ చెప్పవలసి వచ్చింది. గాడిదలకే0 తెలుసు గంధం వాసన. అలాగే, వీడు అక్కినేని గురించి అనడం మహా దరిద్రం. అక్కినేని అంత gentle & amicable హీరో ఎక్కడా లేరు. నిర్మాతల సూట్లు, బూట్లు డొబ్బుకుపొయిన వారు కాదు. మహా మర్యాద గా మెలిగె హీరో అక్కినేని. ఆయన తో మాట్లాడినా, ఆయన స్పీచ్ విన్న విసుగు వుండదు. గొప్ప సభా ఉపన్యాసకుడు నట సామ్రాట్.

Now that they both are gone, is industry blind now? Drama, cinema and concerts are all a product of team work. In movies, story is the hero. We need to stop this blind philosophies that discount all but one which is an insult to the art. The guy talking there doesn't look very smart about his own business, in spite of being in it for decades. Let's not lose our own minds.

You can admire any actor.But belittling Padmavibhushan Late Dr ANR is not good.Sri ANR is equally respected in all Southern States and was admired by Hindi Legendary actors like Dilip Kumar,Ashok kumar and Dev Anand.Late Dr.NTR was very handsome,very well built and was playing mythological roles which made him as mini GOD for Andhra Pradesh people.Late Dr.ANR was not very well built or beautiful like late NTR but could do unconventional roles in Mahavikavikalidas Mooga manasulu,Batasari,Suvarna Sundari' and many more which got accolades from all over India and he was rated as great actor on par with Late Sri Dilip Kumar,Late Sivaji Ganeshan and Late Kannada Rajkumar and Late Dr.NTR.Both Late Dr NTR and Late Dr.ANR were equally respected by all producers and Directors.Late Dr.NTR was having many loyalist actors as he groomed actors like Sri Chalapathi Rao,Sri Sathyanarayana,and many more.Dr.ANR was very disciplined and Professional actor and was concentrating on his roles which he could only do and very candid in his approach.Both Late Dr.NTRGaru and Late Dr.ANR Garu along with Late SVRanga Rao Garu and Late Savithri Garu were Legendary actors of the Golden era which made Telugu film industry Internationally known and respected.Let us salute all of them equally.

He also said, all others understto what a "fenatic fan" he was for NTR, admitting he was fenatic about one actor. Spoke about his impression; we do not need to agree with it. For me all actors that entered before 80s are true actors. Now the crazy fans created stars; star is someone followed by many fans, not necessarily great artist in my view. If you have noticed, there's a male craze in the south. All the stars for us are male actors, although more than half of the movies were successful ONLY because of the acting prowess of the support cast and female leads.

Sr NTR is an actor only who will involved in roles (some times over acting and some time under acting). He also don't know how to act in screen when shared with 3 to 4 artists. He simply wait for his turn to say his dialog. No natural reactions in his face. No doubt Sr NTR is a great actor only and not fine artist. A fine artist will act in films near to natural but not nature. A artist when sharing screen with 3 to 4 artists (in particular in family roles) he has to involve in the situation and show his feelings or some manarisams even though he has no dialogs for him and should not wait for his turn to say his dialog. This is utmost important for fine artist. In Telugu cinema industry only 3 such artist are there so far. Those are ANR, Gummadi and Savitri. These three artists are acted so many social and family movies and all are super/duper hits. Telugu People own them as their brother, husband, father, sister and mother. In Hindi Ashok Kumar and Meena Kumari are such actors. So there is lot of difference between Actor and fine classic Artist. Regards, V. M. M. Krishna.

Even in this interview, it seems Chalapathi Rao seems to have drunk as per his facial expressions. NTR acted in many folklore and mythological movies. These pictures have got so many supporting characters and the useless stuff like Chalapathi Rao manage to got some less known characters and as such got acquainted with NTR. While ANR pictures were mainly social with less characters and that too requires some performance and expressions. This useless actor (Chalapathi Rao) doesn't know expressions, as he use to survive either as second grade villain or a character with a throne on head which covers facial expressions. His half knowledge in the art of talent failed to recognize the greatness of ANR. Probably he might not have seen at least 10 films of ANR. It's a fact that even such fellows do not recognize ANR as an artist, people recognized him, liked his performance for many many years. Further for the information of Chalapathi, there is no award left over to be awarded to veteran ANR pertaining to the cine field including Dada saheb Phalke and second best civilian award "Padma vibhushan". Mr. Chalapathi and as well as anchor Anji, are you aware of these awards, if not update yourself and then put videos.
