Reminds me of these stories of gods or otherwise almost invincible characters who are briefly stunned at this new sense they have not ever felt. Like a certain One Piece character who has an elemental power and innate ability of foresight, so they automatically turn elemental to avoid any damage. Cue protagonist whose power is this guy's direct counter, so he deals absolutely zero damage AND can be hurt by this guy. His reaction to that is still one of the biggest meme faces in anime history.
