I chose Talonflame when I first started Unite on release. Super fun when you get the hang of him.

i will never understand talon flame fly and dragapult phantom force having 11 second cooldown meanwhile inteleon runs around the map spamming 4,000 liquidation everywhere or mimikyu having so many invulnerability frames

Brave bird, aerial ace is so much more fun to play imo but probably lower win rate because it's not nearly as safe

While, I’m not really a Fly gamer myself, it is one of the few pokemon that has an answer to Mimikyu Play Rough as well as your point and clicky moves running around everywhere. Fly Talon is also one of the few melee pokemon that can run a spicy Shedinja Doll/cooldown emblem set.

The reason why fly has higher win rate than brave bird is because with brave bird needs prediction sometimes and if u miss u are dead

Fly is a fun move to use with flame charge, hope some other future Pokémon get fly at some point. Maybe Salamence

I love TF, I got to Masters on a 60% win rate with him. Ran BB + AA. I use your emblems build and I personally like having buddy barrier, razor claw and muscle band.

i remember on my alt account in rank ultra, there was this talonflame with leftovers and rapid-fire scarf. it was a bad build but he always ended up popping off.

I loved Fly Talonflame for this last patch coz of playrough Mimikyu, liquidation Inteleon and icicle spear Glaceon. You just wait out their moves, dodge it with fly and you can retaliate with decent damage

I actively push the winrate of this build. I have been playing this since the beginning. I love annoying enemies with the mobility and huge damage from fly.

The tried and true Talonflame build. It offers so much out-play potential, deals good damage, and lends itself to a number of different strategies.

talonflame was my starter choice and go to speedster with a 60% WR b4 i started grinding Zoro, talonflame is a GREAT hinder choice- problem is without his unite he just struggles to make the impact you need in big fights, which is usually where you need all hands on deck in those really tough matches 😔 this is a problem with all speedsters for sure, but as a speedster who doubles down on all the strengths of the category its just Really Tough Sometimes

Fly is better for soloq, also notice who has eject buttons during match loading so that you can't be surprised after missing fly.

Talonflame is great, but its squishy, which is why it doesnt win as many games. Win rate doesnt matter in this game anyway. I played with a player last night with like a 60% wr. He played jungle Urshi and was absolutely horrible, and bitched over his mic the entire game. Meanwhile, I have a 49.9% overall wr because I win a lot of games early season and then for some reason the game starts matching me with the most impossible players to carry. The last game I played last night, I played Lapras. Carried the whole damn game, got the most kills, did the most damage and even secured ray at the end with 1hp and died. My team was just that incompetent though and couldnt score the one goal we needed to win. Thats how most of my games go these days.

Maybe it's me but I feel so stupid playing Fly and Flame Charge. I just can't get the feeling for it. I have better success rate with Brave Bird and Aerial Ace specially when you can chain multiple Braves and Aerial together, you just jump from squishy to squishy!

In all honesty how does talonflame not have a higher winrate. Fly is the best move in the game and it's not even close. Literally a choose to lose character.

It's mainly a player problem. Too much back capping and not enough fighting because people are fearing the multiple kos feeding the ennemy team because they don't know how to stay away when theur moves are on cooldonws. Not knowing how to properly use the moves, like using Fly to avoid Icicle Spear or to fly in, or the unite move to push the ennemy team into your team's lane so that your allies can come and sweep them more easily and other situations like that.

@@maestrotritone5975 I wouldn't call it choosing to lose. I'd rather call not having learned how to optimize their gameplay with it. Somehow. Like, sometimes I'll will choose the bad option because on the moment, it sounds like the best thing to do. Like trying to defend a goal even though I'm basically feeding the ennemy because otherwise, letting them have free reign on my team's lane just to farm and level up would most likely result in a worst situation down the line from what I'm predicting this would lead to.

I wish speedsters would just become attackers and all rounders. The speedster role in general is unnecessary and zi would love to see speedsters not need to jungle to be viable.

They don't have to jungle to be viable. I literally had an alt account named Colonel Sanders that was Lane Talonflame from Beginner to 1600 Masters. Lane Dodrio and Absol can also still work. It can be harder for some Speedsters to lane, but not all of them.

I have two things to talk about: First of all, Fly has always been the best build tbh. It used to be Brave Bird but ever since they changed it, Fly/Flame Charge has always been the best build. I love that build tbh. It does what you pretty much want and you can get away with it as well. Second thing is that, your Mimikyu teammate is not even good at all and he sucks duck. He is the reason for even throwing the Ray fight in the first place tbh.
