I love how every game you stole more than 1 card, you only ever stole the same card. Gotta love consistency I think you can scoop if in a losing position, but it's more fun not scooping

This format is so silly I love it. 😂 One issue I see is if your opponent knows you're bat heisting, they could slow roll and slow play even more just to screw your speedrun.

This is some of the best MTG Arena content I’ve seen in a long time! I always love finding new and interesting ways to play Magic. Thanks for introducing me to this challenge, Jim, it seems like a lot of fun. I think I might check out some other creators’ “runs” for this format.

I saw another strsleamer trying this challenge, but he added 4x copies of each steal and scooped a lot. And i thought what sad and unfun challenge. Tnx Jim to make this a really really great content. This is really fun this way. Way better.

Oh, you know what would make much more sense? Using Robber of the Rich! it's on theme, you literally steal and cast them! I guess it'd be a bit too easy to win, but going Vorthos feels right

Dude, this was so fun. I did it in an 1:15 of real time, won with a couple Gruff Triplets that popped out after playing a Tribute to the World Tree that drew me a Royal Treatment. Forced a scoop when they tried to Chandra bolt two of the triplets and I protected one. I forgot to count my games, but I think it was about 13 or 14? Guess it’s time to stop playing on the iPad and download Untapped from your link onto my laptop. 😂

Everytime my opponent is in the tank, I just assume they’re making a big salad

just tried this and won on my second game. To my opponent's archfiend of the dross running out of oil. He also cast breech the multiverse so if I had a better deck I might've lost

Sorry about the double comment. I was actually thinking how I wish there were more like challenge type runs or something in magic content. I watch a good amount of video game content and challenge runs are very fun. Which is why I think I love BTM so much, but more would be cool.

So i seen others do it jim and they went in grabbed a card and surrendered and did that for 20-30 matches then built there deck and played i feel like the way you did it just made it harder on yourself but love the content and awesome work!

I feel like it might be good to have the option to add dual lands since there's no way to bat them

super cool concept. Sounds like the masochist challenge that is going through the yugioh community right now where you open enough boosters to make a legal deck and then play, adding another booster every time you win.

This was a great video and a very fun concept. Wish their was an 8 bat option, 4 seems like it made to much dead air and games with too small chance to draw more, makes fighting for every turn less rewarding than it should be. Also be nice to have a way to get duals but need a good way to keep it limited to stay in theme, maybe one dual for each 1 or 2 cards stone in the deck?

Literally the first game he draws more spells than lands, easy win. What a legend.

I think something to make it slightly faster would be if you still start with bats but as you get further into pot if you have other cards that steal spells(etali/villainous wealth/agent of treachery) you also get to add those to your deck.

Little over an hour and won! What a fantastic idea! The best part is that it's super RNG, so you can just reroll attempts. So many choices. Fantastic, alternative way to play the game we all love. Not that I needed to, but cloned the OG deck for more attempts. If I ever get bored, this is what I'm doing. Chef's kiss fun.

This seemed super gimmicky at first, but honestly you had me hooked pretty quickly. Super fun challenge

Propose bat challenge historic brawl. Choose a neutral mono black commander you don't cast, then you may change the change and commander with whatever cards you steal off of a bat/or bat equivalents.

This was a ton of fun, and figuring out whether to pivot to winning compared to deck building is an interesting challenge

Kind of a small sample size, but my takeaway from this video was that adding 3x Sheoldred to any standard deck will increase its winrate by 100% (jk though, fun video and now I feel bad for scooping the other day in unranked queue vs a turn2 bat)

this was absolutely fantastic, I hadn't heard of this challenge but it's super neat, kinda wish they could somehow work this into the game proper somehow but I think it would lead to, as we saw, tons of goldfishing games.

Honestly grabbing a card off of the opponent's bat is the most on-brand thing for this entire challenge. Stealing their card with their stolen card? That's gas.

I appreciate your attitude towards that greed deck game 2. I hate letting people get that greedy on me, I just scoop, clearly you’re made of stronger stuff

took me about the same amount of time, was a little something different than the stupid arena quests. You get a different mindset when you're doing it...trying to figure out which cards are going to be the best long term etc.

I can't wait to try this, next time they add a way to play with every card on arena without owning them.

When I saw this challenge on twitter I just thought "That's stupid! You're going to spend dozens of games doing nothing but adding a few cards to your deck". Ok, I guess we're doing that. :)

Just did the challenge! won in 10 games. Ended with Abzan janky discard pile against mono red aggro.

the red match. game #9. Attack with your Bat God. They either Block with their (your) bat and give you back the bat god to hand OR go down to 3 life. You're dead on board either way, but the attack forces a discard and if they do block it. You get the bat god back in hand which then can be played. Triggering the legend rule and flipping the bat god you attacked with to a land and giving you a 4/4 life linker blocker. buying you another turn or two

I also tried this and I won with only adding 25 Islands and 1 Cloudkin seer. It was my second game. I won't count it unless its a win not from Time. I'm also using the Alchemy format.

From what I've seen of other people doing this challenge, they just added 4x copies of anything they stole, so I like the different take. The rules are ambiguous about how many you get.
