Adam shows a stunning lack of comprehension on the workforce reduction at twitter. It was not a simple downsizing. It was an aggressive purge of people actively thwarting and sabotaging the owner’s direction.

The best way to improve yourself is to start a podcast or write a book giving people emotional cultural truisms that make them feel inspired briefly as though they are going to improve their lives. Collect money and use that money to improve your life.

I love that Tom is willing to say 'i'm gonna to make a moral judgement - you SHOULD do x,y,z'. I think we're living in a weird time where we're afraid to strike back at the notion that everything is equally ok. Its NOT! Being fitter is better than being fatter. Having useful skills that help you support your family is better than having skills that don't help you support your family. There is a hierarchy and some things are worse and i think we should (kindly) point these things out.

Weve been convinced by moral bullies that tell us, "all truths are equally valid" and "the only thing we don't tolerate is intolerance." Um... No. I disagree with these moral statements. I believe some people are wrong. I believe there are plenty of behaviors we shouldn't tolerate. I think the concept of "intolerance" was just something bullies used to shut down well intentioned people trying to guide other people.

Investing in the stock market has HISTORICALLY provided higher returns than other forms of investment. According to Morningstar, the average annual return for the S&P 500 index, which measures the performance of 500 large-cap stocks, was approximately 10% from 1926 to 2020.

Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over $610k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

People presenting as professionals meet together in dialog and listen to and thus add to both their realities, as with these two gentlemen. As third parties, we get to listen and analyze, compare and contrast to our realities. Likely if we are humble and self aware, we can find something from them we had not previously appropriated and would make our reality better.

100 % agree that most self-help advice is toxic . Instead of wasting time on positive thinking , affirmations , belief , Secret, start focusing on going direct to your behavior and start working on getting good daily habits.. If your desire is to manifest your goal, then you first need to specify it in great detail then ask yourself : What kind of habits the person who achieves this goal would have and what kind of skills would this person have ? Now, those become the road map ( Getting the right habits implemented in your life and getting the skillset for that particular goal that you have outlined in great detail ) ..Thinking alone, thoughts are not good enough ..Set the thinking side, set the positive thoughts positive affirmations and the idea that I believe in myself I can do anything attidue aside, and go direct into changing your behavior through getting good daily habits and the right skillset.. Thank me later : )

It's not an either or, all those things work as well esp when used in conjunction. Your behavior is a result of your belief systems. Hard to change your behaviors if you don't change the way you think first

I disagree ..My life has transformed in ways unimaginable once I shifted my entire approach , instead of building belief systems, I got rid of my belief systems and made a decision to go straight into my behavior and results have been remarkable..So my behaviors now are not a result of my belief system anymore. As I am now able to go straight into changing my behavior and start taking action right away it is the little concrete evidence that I pick up along the way that keeps me fueled and keeps me marching towards , not what I believe or think .. I hope this makes sense because once anyone uses this approach , their lives will also transform in ways unimaginable.. @@ThegrayareawithYvette

Adam's deep bias is that as an "organizational psychologist, he likes to start with the evidence first" (this isn't actually real) 🤔 instead of "thinking out loud", which he should do more of not less. What is this guy really an expert in? Downsizing is the best thing a bloated company like Twitter could have done, plus it was crucial to their survival. My former company was more productive when we downsized and just kept the A&B players. You really can do more with less if you have the right people, and twitter didn't have irreplaceable people. Everyone except the owner is replaceable, so this guy is just talking out his ass and he hasn't given me one good takeaway from this episode. My new company I'm running received a well needed twitter overhaul and is becoming more efficient with the new structure because I don't have the weaker players bringing down the A players.

You know this; you are where you are because of every decision you made. Move, stand still or ... each has a result. If one has a 1,000 step path to get to success, have they "failed" if they get to 871 and stop? Often the answer is nope. You want to improve 1% every day... but in the end average .6724% better daily. Would you not engage if you knew that was the potential outcome? Intense focus and purposeful actions based on a heart searing why are true drivers.

System possession also very interesting subject. collectivism or any group really, when you in any group, you become small screw in big machine. You become unimportant piece. With group think or being in any group, that controls your thinking, your acts, world view or even your mouth. Even your words become not belong you. Because you become character, personality of that group. This reality playing very sneaky game. So thats why group think, collectivism or any group actually very bad thing. Because that psychology not only control your mind, also control your words too. Communism capitalism left right etc. it's all example for system possession. This also creates NPC like behavior. Another example: Goverment control your mind with every level and tells you what you do, think. Even small groups creates this effects. in this reality if you dont use your free will and think for yourself, it's very bad thing. You also hear for knowing yourself. if every thing decided for you, and you follow like robot. who are you then ? First take control yourself and break that possession. This is real meaning of body snatchers. Dont become some caricature and small screw in somebodys group. Think about this subjects and become actual person.

This guy has so much bullshit in his "talk" I'm glad Tom stepped in. In fact, I would have liked to see more of it. What's the point in having a guest on if you don't interact with them and debate what they are saying?

Difficult to take seriously people with vocal fry, As they already showing they don't give a sh*t. Nowadays ,Business is the sport cause there everyone want/need to outcompete others. So a man is successful when it is not good, but the best. It is a sick practise, which makes the whole world go nuts. In other words you are successful if you bring down everyone else. I hope next big crisis will shape the minds of the people properly.
