I once had a sim in Sims 1 who died while cooking her dinner after coming home from work. The last savepoint was when she went to work. So I did the most reasonable thing, restarted the file, removed the stove and tried again. This time, she set her microwave on fire and died. Reloaded, removed the microwave and tried again. She used the toaster oven, same thing again, set fire on the toaster and died... At this point I thought she was cursed. So I removed ALL electrical appliances. She had a salad that night! Success! Next day came, she went to work like usual and then came back home as a tombstone because she was shot at work because she was working as a thief.... :D

How mine usually goes: 1. Create really good looking sims for 2 hours. 2. Build really nice house and furnish it for 4-5 hours. 3. Game crashes and you didn’t save.

The favourite player: Only watching out for the needs of a single, favourite SIM, and let the needs of other SIMS in the household totally untended or while the favourite SIM is doing something that take time. They will always look at their favourite every ten seconds or so, so that SIM doesn't deterior in their needs or go on not doing anything.

Speaking of challenges, there’s this one that has made me feel EVIL for doing. I was looking at the official goals that The Sims 4 had, and there was this challenge called “Black Widow”, where you have to outlive 5 spouses, and I said to myself: “Challenge accepted…” And so I started a new save file, created a male sim, had him marry, became a father to twins (boy and girl), and that’s when he was on the death wish. It was hard for my heart to do at first, because I fell in love with the idea of my sim becoming a lovely father to his children, but I started this save file for a reason, so I stuck to my task and finished the job by having him get eaten by a cow plant. I had the female sim marry again, this time to a sim who wasn’t someone I liked as much. They had a baby together, he was in some affair, they fought, they forgave, and I starved him. So far, the twins are now children, the third kid is a toddler, and currently I’m looking for a third unfortunate husband that will make me another baby and end up on the death wish.

I was once the dramatic and my biggest masterpiece was creating a story where the daughter hated her mother and was very close to her father. She became a vampire in her adult life and celebrity and parents moved out. Then the one night she saw her parents and went to say hi to her dad and convinced him to divorce her mom and they became enemies ever since. I was truly proud of this success

i’m a realist who’s used a cheat or mod or two. never had any adult mods, never tortured or killed my sims. don’t take any kind of pleasure in that. my families are typically faithful with needs taken care of. i have experimented with children out of wedlock before. have no need for most supernatural packs but open to certain tonics and herbal boosts. love cas and build mode but always ready to play. def a legacy player but will branch off into storytelling mode. never got into all the photos and video or made a youtube but really just love the sims 💚

I'm definitely the story teller, each one of my sims have a story of them and their families. Tbh if I didn't make stories then the game will be almost unplayable as you have to make a lot of it up yourself due to the lack of gameplay.

I am the faint hearted. I bought the sims 4 on PS4 and recreated me and my mother. I watched them burn to death because I didn’t know what I was doing. I never touched the game after that.

Don't forget the people who spend time playing, get bored for several months and come back, but then don't remember what they were doing so they delete the entire save. Rinse and repeat.

How my sims games usually go 1: make a household of ugly or evil sims 2: trap a sim i found in a cell and make them either paint make viruses or farm sometimes maybe all of the above 3: mess around for a bit until i get bored 4: quit for a bit and hop back in again Bonus: make a family of clones that are you guessed it evil and try to kill every sim in the neighbourhood

I am a player who puts their own rules and when I accidentally break them I become so dramatic. For example I have several families and I play each one for a week (starts at 12.00 am on Monday and plays until 12.00 am on Monday) so when I forget to pause the game in that particular SECOND i get so mad and I can't forgive myself. Another rule is that I use the cheat motherlode ONLY in the first family that I create and NOT in the others that come after (I make one family with 3 to 6 children and each of them is having their own family in the future and etc. etc., the tree is getting so long and complicated).

I AM THE DESPERATE ONE I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I'VE MADE MYSELF AND MY CRUSH AS A COUPLE

I was thinking about those "building houses but not actually playing the game", and realized something. I don't know if it's just me, but everytime o build a house, I don't actually play with it, because it's pretty, but not really practical, and sometimes there's no space or too much space, or there's no room for what my sim does for living or hobbie, and I just have to make these small rooms apart from the main house, and when I realize it, there are three houses in the lot. And also, when I furniture or build a house or do the landscaping while the sim grows up and gets other needs or hobbies or things to make money with or whatever, I don't usually build these stuff to be pretty...? I just put the stuff the sim needs. Maybe I'm not an architet player. Anyways, I started this family in the premade cheap square-shaped starter house in Oasis Springs, refurnitured it a bit, got some better stuff, adapted it to my sim's lifestyle, and then her son grew up and I moved her to her husband's house, and the kid is living alone in the house now, and let's just say his mom liked to leave the party at the club, but he likes to bring the party home, so now his mom's study area is a mini-club, with neon lights, a dance floor, and a DJ cabin. That's how it works.

I fall under a lot of these categories, but my main one is definitely the fangirl. I've made Sims from Supernatural (yes, the TV show), American Horror Story, Lucifer, Hannibal... I transformed Morgyn and Caleb into their AHS counterparts (Michael Langdon and Tristan Duffy). Let the crossover fanfics roll!

I am so the faint hearted player, I have had the game for 2 years and it's full of big, happy families with no one divorced and I have never intentionally killed a sim. And yes, I turn off aging.

You forgot the «cheater without cheats» If they want their sim to have money they do not use motherload but let seven random people move in from the world menu and have them move out again. They constantly use loopholes in the game's logic to advance their game. And what about the «efficient simmer» who does not build sinks, because they are a waste of time and uses similar tricks. Plus they do not let their sim do anything that does not advance their skills, career or relationships.

To be honest, I'm heavily mixed with light hearted & fangirl but more lighthearted on video game types of Sims I create than randomized Sims. Plus, not only do I turn aging off, I turn off free will too because I'm very scared that Sims with flirty traits start flirting with the wrong Sim, especially those with the Inappropriate trait in the Sims 3. I even deleted every single building & pre-made Sims so that it would be way more open. After that, I created two different save files, one for testing dangerous stuff with randomized Sims & the one for creating Sims I wanna keep away from harm. Basically, I'm just very attached to the Sims I create mostly than ones I just randomize & just play with family funds & needs static to pretty much tell a story. I prevented paparazzi from stepping on my only residental lot with active household out of celebrity system & a no alien abductions mod to prevent aliens & deleting the mascot before they showed up on my Sim's lot. Pretty much, I play the game like the old console games like the Sims Bustin Out.

I remember one time I created Dean Winchester on sims 4, and he was married to my own character. On their wedding day, he was so happy he died. And when my sims tried begging the reaper, he wouldn't bring Dean back. It was both funny and heartbreaking.
